Complaint Regarding Poor Service at [Venue Name]

Dear Manager (Volvo park )

I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience we had at [Venue Name] during our recent event on [Event Date]. Unfortunately, the service and organization were far below expectations, and I believe this needs to be addressed.

Firstly, our host and guests were asked to leave before 3:40 PM, immediately after the cake was handed out. This left no time for the birthday child to even make a wish or enjoy the celebration properly. The host was not given any opportunity to extend the process, and she had to leave with half of the cake still in the box. This was extremely disappointing and felt rushed and unprofessional.

Additionally, the overall organization was lacking. There was only one staff member handling both coffee orders and food preparation, which made service slow and chaotic. The sandwich and salad platter provided was overpriced and insufficient for the number of children present. There was not enough fruit salad or wraps to accommodate everyone, which was frustrating given the cost.

Considering the poor experience, I believe our host deserves a sincere apology and a partial refund of at least 50% of the total cost. The event was not handled professionally, and I would not recommend this venue based on this experience.

I travelled from Adelaide SA with my family to be a part of the ASA Nationals over the weekend of the 6th - 8th May 2022 held at Volo Skate Park . We were expecting an exciting weekend, and the chance to catch up with our sons’ friends and meet new ones. Although the competition seemed to go smoothly, I have to say I never seen such despicable behaviour from a facility whose remit is the supervision, support, and provision of a sporting venue for children.

On multiple occasions, myself, and several other parents (and other children) witnessed Volo Staff verbally abuse and berating child competitors and visitors/spectators on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The fact these staff "supposedly" supervise and are responsible for children is unfathomable.

The fact that the holder of the event the ASA seemingly did nothing about the actions of the park venue also beggars belief.

If you have any desire to keep yourself safe, and more importantly, value the physical and emotional safety of your children, ignore this "Park" like the plague....

Had my 7 year old twin boys birthday party at VOLO Park. It was rated as ‘BEST PARTY EVER ’ by all of the kids.

Parents also raved about the venue, staff & food. The cheese toasties were gobbled up so quickly because they (and all other food) were made fresh & presented well. Definitely a huge step up from the usual kids party food.

The party coaches were amazing, teaching the kids new scooter moves, giving individual attention when required & putting on a fantastic Pro Demo show which is really worth the extra cost.
