Tek Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

I had been looking forward to this meal for weeks, visiting from Dubai to see family, excited to spend quality time together over some good Turkish food. Unfortunately, this restaurant completely ruined the experience. We were a group of ten with a reservation, but from the moment we arrived, our waitress was rude and dismissive. She forgot to put one of our main dishes through and didn’t even bother to apologize, simply saying it wouldn’t be charged, as if that somehow made up for it. She also forgot a side dish and had the audacity to blame us for not reminding her sooner. At one point, she muttered under her breath, asking if we planned to “be here all day,” which was completely unnecessary and made us feel unwelcome.

This was supposed to be a joyful meal with family, but her attitude and poor service really dampened the mood. If you’re visiting or celebrating a special occasion, I’d recommend going somewhere else where you’ll be treated with respect and professionalism. Absolutely...

Tek Cafe is a true gem for food lovers! Istarted with the Eggs Benedict, which were perfectly poached with a rich and creamy hollandaise sauce that was simply divine. The grilled salmon with sweet potato fries was a standout, with the salmon cooked to perfection and complemented by the crispy and flavorful fries. The Turkish tea was a delightful touch, offering a soothing and aromatic experience.

The Big Breakfast Platter was a feast for the senses, featuring a generous selection of breakfast favorites that were all expertly prepared. Each dish was not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavor.

Came here yesterday for lunch once we got seated we were completely ignored staff kept walking past us had to stop someone walking past us to take our order girl in glasses was apologetic she was very sweet and got someone to get our order really wish she had taken our order because she genuinely was nice Service was 10 out of 10 even.

Not the first time last time we wait around 16 minutes (not even busy) to take our order every time we come, we always order a lot so on top of having to wait for someone to take our order and get our food it does take awhile (Mainly because Takes Them time To get our order)
