Be careful ordering from this store. CRAZY prices and even CRAZIER surcharges for AVERAGE food. This was my experience:
I was first told the order would come to $191. When I arrived, they went to charge me $199 and when I asked why there was a difference it was only THEN that they told me they forgot to charge for cheese. Fair enough, these things happen, not a big deal.
I made payment and upon driving away noticed that they had bumped the price to $201.99 due to a $2.99 surcharge... On a $199 order they charged me a surcharge. It gets better.
They had also specifically marked the Turkish pizzas as $19 + Takeaway.
I called them and asked about the surcharge and they could not provide an answer. I asked them why the Turkish pizzas had been marked as $19 + Takeaway - still no answer.
I heard in the background one of the workers ask another worker: "How many extra charges did you put?" - however the final answer that I received was: "Ask my boss".
Here comes the kicker.
They charge $17 for a SMALL hsp. (Really small portion size, it comes in a slightly smaller fish n' chip shop foam burger container).
$19 for 6 pieces (not slices) of Turkish pizza (Takeaway price apparently, according to the receipt).
AND
The kebabs were not even hot, they were room temperature.
The only good things were the pizzas - and they were not worth $19.
As the beginning of this review suggests, be careful of ordering from this place. They seem to take advantage of large orders and the only thing they pile on is...
Read moreThis restaurant is a nicely made traditional Turkish restaurants. With not so smiling staff but a very nice dish which will leave you with a smile, The food was outstanding though the restaurant itself wasn't so welcoming. The staff there was brilliant fast to respond and very understanding of special requests of food. The food there was quite on the pricier side of things, as in saying that living of itself is starting to get pricier so I give them the benefit of the doubt. I highly would recommend coming here if you feel like a nice feed but I wouldn't recommend coming for a family dinner. Back to the staff, they always responded the moment I needed something but slowly felt annoyed, I really enjoyed the company of the boy that worked there, although he didn't represent much sense of professionalism, he portrayed a very calm and peaceful vibe. The girl who works there was also very polite and kind when I requested for anything. So that is why I give a 4/5 stars, Amazing food, the speed of the food coming out was decent (no one owns a blast furnace be patient people please), staff was applaudable but the actual theme of the restaurant and the building itself wasn't so "New" or welcoming for a family dinner. (ps they gave me...
Read moreI drive past this cafe almost every day and I thought it was literally just a random takeaway kebab shop, but I was pleasantly surprised how spacious it was inside, with plenty of tables and chairs for even larger groups. The lady at the front who took our order was very lovely and welcoming. The food was great, I grew up with Glenroy Kebab/Broady station Kebab/Anatolian at Broady shops & Roxy Kebab so I'm happy to have found a place that had non hectic and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy some Turkish food. The bread was superb, it was warm, fresh, fluffy, yet spongey and had great balanced flavor. I find a lot of kebab places these days have really underwhelming, dry, hollow unsatisfying bread which really lets the entire meal down, but this place has 10/10 bread. Our meals came out quickly and even small servings were very substantial, don't come when you're on a diet because you will...
