Yarra Valley Racing — Attraction in Melbourne

I recently had the pleasure of attending an event at the Yarra Valley Racing Club, and it was truly a day to remember. Despite not hitting the jackpot, the overall experience was nothing short of fantastic.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the vibrant atmosphere and welcoming staff. The music set the perfect tone for the day, adding to the excitement of the races. The variety of food options available ensured that there was something for everyone, and the quality exceeded expectations.

One aspect that truly stood out was the cleanliness of the venue. The facilities were immaculate, which added to the overall comfort and enjoyment of the day.

Although luck may not have been on our side in terms of betting, the Yarra Valley Racing Club certainly won us over with their exceptional hospitality and attention to detail. We left with smiles on our faces and memories that will last a lifetime.

We have been here a few times in the last 7 years, it gets better each time. We usually go on big race days like The Cup and Pink Day and have been on a Valentine's Day. I would suggest take your own gourmet picnic, even though it is in the Yarra Valley the food on offer is not gourmet nor great, funny since it is in the Yarra Valley? You would think the local wineries & producers would put on stalls, they would make good money. We usually get a group together and book a table, but in future we may book a marquee as you never know what the weather will be like. We have been rugged up on cold days and huddled together chasing the shade on warm to hot days as the brollies only shade a bit of the table. It has a great vibe, live entertainment a really enjoyable day. We have done it in a day trip which is ok but if you get in early book some accommodation and make a weekend of it, there is so much to enjoy...

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the service of Kelly Aldred - Administration Coordinator @ YVRC. Kelly is brilliant at her job! She has made arranging a corporate marque for the up and coming Cox Plate Day ‘pain free’ for MRE. Nothing was ever a hassle. She had great attention to detail, strong communication, but most importantly an upbeat, welcoming attitude. She is/was an absolute pleasure to work with, and an asset to the Yarra Valley Race Club.
