The V Wall is a great place to visit, bring the family, go swimming, have a picnic, go fishing, or just have a leisurely walk checking out the rock graffiti otherwise known as rock art. You may also see fish from the wall or even Dolphins on a good day.
If you want to see some drone footage of the area check out my youtube at @NewmanMediaCollective.
There are several places where people can swim from the protected shallow start of the V Wall to the other side which is even better for young children as it does not get the currents. Currently there is sand halfway down the wall serving as an extra beach which some are taking advantage of. At the end of the wall to the left is Wellington Beach which is also popular.
There are toilet facilities at the beginning of the wall and a couple of places you can purchase food drinks or icecreams to keep everyone happy. There are also a couple of sculptures and picnic tables available.
Normally you will be able to find a parking spot but in the peak holiday periods it may be a bit more difficult. I've never failed to get one though.
The V Wall from point to point is around 900m. 600m for the main side and a further 300m on the less used side. It is a flat cemented path which is suitable for prams, bikes, wheelchairs or other mobility devices. Suitable for all ages.
The rock graffiti consists mostly of people/families making their mark. It also seems to have a growing number of remembrance plaques. The best ones are the more artistic efforts. It is constantly changing as new people add to it so you can come every year and see different artwork alongside some older ones.

Read moreA combination of places. The caravan park has both onsite units and caravan sites. It has a pool complex,a tidal pool and games room. The V wall tavern offers meals, drinks & Tab facilities. The V wall cafe offers a wide choice of takeaway foods or dining on the deck. The V wall is a gem with original works of art on the rocks. Swimming is possible on either side of the v wall. Offers fishing opportunities also. The bar is not suitable for other then very experienced boat operators. Those swimming in the area need to be very aware of tides and take care what looks like a family swimming spot can turn deadly. Ideal for walking and pets are welcome but you must clean up afterwards. Nice park area to sit and...
Read moreWall was amazing great to see all the painting on the rocks. Not quite sure who and why they were painted. There were memorial plagues of people that had passed away which was a little confronting but all good. Fishing there was pretty ordinary really, the current was really strong tide going out and even when it started to come back in the afternoon it was still quite strong. Lots of snags in the water so lost a few lines and jigs trying the wall. Would recommend to check out the tide before you go and attempt the wall. No one else caught anything either in several hours. Overall though it is a beautiful spot for a picnic a quick swim etc. Recommend visit if your in Nambucca...
