I just want to say, WOW! Thank you Nambucca RSL staff so much for exceeding our expectations in your support with my sister's 60th Birthday, combined with her daughter's 40th Birthday celebrations. Our appreciation to you does not go unnoticed. We had initially booked another venue (with plenty of notice) for our luncheon celebrations. They were not forthcoming with suggestions to our questions and couldn't guarantee a comfortable table with the number of guests. Anyway... they did us a favour, because with only 2 weeks to book another venue, we decided to visit Nambucca RSL Club for ideas. Our first point of call was Karen on front desk. We were met with a welcoming and genuine smile and she was more than happy to oblige us with our late booking request, as admittedly we had initially prepared ourselves for a let down trying to book for our party of 27 people on short notice. Karen offered ideas, and suggested a private area with juke box included, even offering to have our tables decorated on our behalf with the guests of honour favourite colours. We didn't expect that, as we were quite prepared to do the decorations ourselves. You saved us time and money. We had all our questions answered and more. We left the Club, both relieved and excited and were then able to look forward to the day. When we first saw our 2 decorated tables on the day of the event, it looked amazing. So beautifully done and we could see the love and effort that was put in.. But it didn't stop there. We all ordered and paid for our drinks and meals individually that went down without a hitch. Our food was so affordable, fresh and delicious with generous portion sizes with very reasonable wait time. Thank you chef and staff who work the restaurant. Also, Bar staff were amazing. You are all very busy, and being a member and regular patron, I see that. And yet you still made us feel special, putting every effort into their special day. On behalf of my sister, Leiane and her daughter, Kat, and myself, thank you to all the staff that helped make our celebrations so enjoyable and memorable. I know where I'll be...
Read moreExtremely disappointing. When ordering our meals we were told there would be an hour wait on mains. Ok no worries. So we ordered some breads to keep the kids happy that were suppose to come out earlier. We then waited an hr for our breads after going and checking they were coming. Finally got the breads. It had now got to an hr and 45 mins still waiting on our mains. By this time it was almost 8.30pm. The people we were with Finally got their meals had eaten them and were less then impressed with the quality for what they paid we were still waiting. By the 2 hr mark and being spoken to quiet rudely when we asked if there was a problem, we had enough. Kids were tired and hungry went and asked for our money back we had paid $123.00 they were only refunding $60 until we said i don't think so we will have the full refund. Then apparently our food was suddenly ready only problem completely the wrong order. Needless to say we took our money and left. Kfc it was. I have worked in retail/hospitality for many years so i understand it gets busy and things happen. But when the staff except for 1 lady are extremely rude to customers that are waiting this long and can not just let you know nicely when asked if theres an issue then that is not ok. It is not hard to be nice and smile...
Read moreWe were having a good night at the club, till it came time to go home. We were told that there would be an announcement that the courtesy bus was leaving. There was an announcement that the bus would be leaving in 10 minutes from the main entrance. We headed down to the pick up point straight away, but when we got there the bus full and already pulling away from the club 10mins early. If the bus does not actually run to a schedule, then don't inform your patrons that it does. Tell them instead that the bus runs on a first in best dressed system, and don't make announcements to the contrary. We were told that we need not worry and the bus we'll be back in an hour for the next run. That is not helpful to those that were relying on the bus at that time. What if those people that were wanting the bus at that time had a deadline to meet, ie: babysitters and alike. This is the sort of thing that needs to be considered. I feel that if this doesn't get sorted, I'm afraid it could spell the demise of the club as a going concern due to patrons not wanting to go to the venue due to the lack of consistency and hospitality protocols. Maybe the bus should be pre-booked by patrons upon arrival for their departure later in...
