Spend 4 minutes to read this and you'd learn most information you need about this park. Tip: Start off with A DEFINITE GOOD TIP IF YOU WANT TO COME IS TO ABSOLUTELY ARRIVE BEFORE 10AM AND BETTER AT 9:30AM, SO THAT YOU CAN LEAVE WITHIN 30 MINUTES AND NOT 3+ HOURS. AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. AND DEFINITELY DON'T COME AFTER 10:15AM ON WEEKENDS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WASTE 3+ HOURS WAITING. The park opens at 10am and COME BEFORE THAT! Edit: Thx for 11 likes this is a lot on Google Maps My experience: Me and my family arrived at 10:35am (*that's where the mistake is) on a Sunday during school holidays and spent 3 hours waiting for the Toboggan ride, and still not get on the ride and have to leave before getting the ride because there is a more important schedule. Played putt putt with a ticket to waste some time out of the 3 hours. The almost only good thing is that some friendly staff let us come back the next day and we finished the rides in 30 mins the next day (not a weekend) because we arrived at 10am, but wasted $30 because weekdays are cheaper. All the other comments are true that people can go on rides on and on until they use up all the tickets, causing a very long queue and wait time especially on weekends and public holidays. There is a limit for 3 rides at most but really no staff cares. And the real reason that this company allows customers to go on rides multiple times is because they want to sell more rides and MAKE MORE MONEY, once you get on the toboggan you can go on a lot of rides, they make deals that make you feel more beneficial from the waiting. A smart marketing tactic, but not considerate on the fairness and feelings of the customers waiting. Therefore, a lot of the negative comments are on the wait time and the fairness. Tickets: The tickets are sold as a per ride basis unlike most theme parks. Note that one more thing that is quite a scam is that $12 per ticket is just for normal days but on weekends and holidays for one ticket it's 50% more for $18. Most of the rides use the same tickets and prices, but most people come here only for the Toboggan. Therefore, most other activites don't really need to queue except the Toboggan. Ride: The Toboggan ride itself is alright and fun, last for around 3 mins and there are 11 curves on the slide. But around $12 and 3 hours wait time for one ride is not quite worth it. Also if the company successfully baited you into buying tickets for 4, 5, 6 rides per person, you would get bored of the repetitive rides because it is a bit fun but not very exciting. And so if you buy 1 ticket you'd feel not worth the price and the wait time, and if you buy 4+ rides per person your wallet hurts and you'd get bored of the rides. Wait time: Here are some estimated time of waiting for reference. EST time waiting WEEKDAYS DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS: 9:30 - 10 - 0 min 10 - 10:15 - 30mins 10:15 - 10:30 - 1hr to 2 hrs 10:30 after - 2hrs+ EST time waiting WEEKENDS and PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: 9:30 - 10 - 0 min 10 - 10:15 - 30mins to 1hr 10:15 - 10:30 - 1.5hr to 2.5 hrs 10:30 after - 3hrs to 4hrs So be smart if you don't want to wait. Summary: ⭐️DON'T COME AFTER 10:15AM UNLESS YOU WANT LONG QUEUE ⭐️MUST COME BEFORE 10AM ❎️Quite expensive ❎️WEEKENDS tickets more EXPENSIVE than weekdays and not stated ❎️Bad rule on letting people go multiple times ✅️Friendly staff that let us come back the next day ✅️Had a bit of fun There is good and there is bad, but I am fair and reasonable on this judgement of 3 OUT OF 5 STARS, and if you have made it that far, thanks for reading. It'd be nice if this review can help you and give some information, and like if this 4 mins read has helped you save some time or money on your trip.

An old fashioned adventure park in every sense of the word, and no, that's not meant as a compliment! The rides reminded us of the 1990s, excluding the toboggan, which would have been fine, except the price of admission definitely reflected 2024 😱. Unlike other adventure/theme parks, where the majority of rides are "free" - i.e. included in the price of admission - here, you "buy tickets" as part of your price of admission (you can go back and buy more later) for the number of rides you'd like to go on. Suffice to say, you need a ticket for "all the good stuff". Toboggan: Definitely the highlight, and very well maintained. Arguably, this could be a standalone attraction - similar to the Corin Forest Alpine Slide in Canberra. A long and windy downhill slope - due to the incline, however, you don't go that fast. The queuing process, which in all fairness has been in place for many years, is quite different to what you might expect - once you're "on the ride", you can continue to go around as many time as you'd like (subject to having a sufficient number of tickets). Everywhere else I've visited, once you finish your turn, you go to the back of the line and queue up again. This sometimes results in a very long queue as, once the ride is "full", new riders can't get on, unless someone else gets off! Bounce and Tumble: Nothing special here - you can find these at most decent sports ground fairs. Putt putt: 19 holes, but each hole was rather short. Good for a child, but not something that can really keep adults entertained. The Maze: FYI - It's a serious uphill "hike" to get here, follow the signs and keep walking, you won't miss it. Yes, it's a maze, but the quality of the maze is atrocious. Activities within the indoor shed - Pricey, if you don't use pre-paid tickets 1) Jumping castle 🏰 : $10 for 10 mins 2) Bertie Beetle: $6 per ride 3) Rock climbing: $12 (1st climb), $3 (extra climbs) - ok value if you want to do it twice! The staff were nice, happy, friendly and courteous - what you want at an adventure park. If you've never been to an adventure park before, or if you're in the neighbourhood and want to stuff around for a few hours, go ahead - but unfortunately it's nothing to write home about.

With my group of about 17, I went on the Toboggan Hill Run, Rock Climbing and Putt Putt Golf. My favourite activity of these was the Toboggan Hill Run which the park gets its namesake from. If you are going to do the Toboggan Hill Run for the first time, I'd recommend getting a feel for the brake lever while you're lining up on your toboggan and braking fairly early into the corners on your first run. And then refine everything from there. I also went on the Gyro Extreme ride which is a 2-person experience that has you strapped in to a spherical open-air chamber, spinning in all directions for a couple of minutes. While I was on it with my buddy I didn't find it all that enjoyable - while I was on it I just wanted it to be over, really 😂. Perhaps I've simply grown out of dizzy rides.... how much you'll enjoy the 'Gyro Extreme' probably depends on your personal tolerance for this type of stuff. Aside from the rides, the kiosk was reasonable and the toilets seemed clean. Nearby the kiosk, there's also an Air Hockey table which'll give you a few minutes of action for the just $1 (so long as it doesn't just suck up your coin, that is). Seeing as the Air Hockey table does require coins, I recommend bringing some coins along with you or exchanging some of your notes for coins at the kiosk. While playing Air Hockey, I did find that the plastic puck would frequently fling off the table during play and become a projectile liable to hit anyone in the nearby seating area. This is perhaps attributable to the competitive play-style of me and my friends or perhaps due to the shape of the hand paddle. Either way, you shouldn't have any problems with the puck flying every which way so long as you just tone it down a little. Overall, this is a great place to visit for a fun day out! I will return in the future if I'm in Nelson Bay again!

We arrived at 1pm (24/1/25) and there was a handwritten sign on counter stating 15 minute wait for toboggans. The people in front and behind us in line also commented on this wait time. We bought entry tickets that included 1 ride. We lined up for the toboggan run. After 30 mins we had barely moved in the line (approx 50 people lined up) and I mentioned to the ride staff (nicely) that the wait period had been signposted on entry as 15 minutes and that we hadn’t moved much in the line for 30 minutes. I mentioned that they might like to change the listed waiting period for others entering. The staff member panicked and stated ‘well, that’s definitely not accurate’ and used a radio to inform other staff re this. I noted that multiple families were allowed to stay on the toboggans if they had additional tickets (you could purchase multiple ride tickets at entry). Some families rode more than 3 times without getting off the ride. We waited 90 minutes in the line. When we finally got to the end of the line it started raining (sprinkling) slightly and the staff stated that we would need to ride very carefully as the track would be slippery and the brakes wouldn’t work well. We rode the toboggans to the top of the run where there was another banked up queue of 20 or more riders/toboggans. Staff at the top informed that there had been an incident on the track and that we would need to wait. After waiting for an additional 20 minutes, we were able to ride very slowly to the bottom (staff observing and telling all riders to slow down). In all, we had one 5 minute toboggan ride that took 2 hours. This took up our entire timeframe in the park. Our 3 kids and I were so bored and disappointed and I mentioned this to staff (calmly and nicely) upon exiting. The person on the front counter expressed that I should inform management staff and they called them. We waited for 10 minutes however wish that we hadn’t. The manager that I then spoke with was abrupt, angry and rude and attempted to start an argument. I was calm and polite and explained the above. She stated that they had no signs that stated a 15 minute wait, (and showed me a bunch of other waiting/timeframe signs that were not there when we arrived) and stated that I must have misread the waiting period. She also scoffed and said that it was school holidays and that they have no control over wait times/incidents on the track. She asked me what time we arrived (1pm) and she stated that no one had waited 2 hours to ride today (I didn’t ever state that we had waited two hours - indicating that she clearly had not listened/cared when I explained the above). It was also clear that she was not interested in customer service or willing to consider our disappointing experience. I wish I had taken a photograph of the 15 minute wait time (that others in the line also commented on - that was removed after I informed staff that this wait time was inaccurate). I’ve visited the park a number of times in the past with family and have enjoyed the experience however, today was highly disappointing and the response from management was shocking. We won’t be returning and do not recommend...

Terrible dangerous experience ! The sprinkler system was turned on which made the toboggan ride very unsafe ! We witnessed the female blond attendant on the 2 way asking someone where the tap was so she could turn it off as it was so slippery and the riders were unable to slow down or stop. We were on the top of the last corner and witnessed many people complaining about how slippery it was and that they were unable to slow down. After finding where the tap was the attendant was finally able to turn the sprinkler system off. My boys came around the last corner and were unable to stop ! The attendant threw a soaking wet piece of filthy carpet at one of my boys who ended up satured and filthy. He had his hand out also trying his hardest to stop which is so dangerous in itself but a natural reaction when trying desperately to stop. He then bumped into a toboggan in front of him and the one behind him also hit him and pushed him as well. No fault of his own but a scary situation for all concerned. My boys then got off the ride, even though they had 3 more rounds to go, but were to shaken up to go around again. Worth noting that that no one in the toboggan in front were injured but very shaken up ! We decided then to go down into the inside to see how we could use our remaining tickets ? The attendant was there talking to the people that had been in the toboggan in front. As we entered the same attendant who didn't know where the tap was and was running around all flustered trying to stop an accident happening, yells out to my boys 'are you going to apologise to these people for bumping into them ? ' I said absolutely not ' ! You put everyone in this situation by having the sprinkler system turned on and not having a clue how to turn it off ! The attendant was extremely rude and would not listen nor did she ask if my boys were ok after being shaken up by the whole incident. She had absolutely no people skills or obviously knowledge on how dangerous this was for everyone. We left frustrated and so angry ! What a complete waste of money this was ! We will not return to use our remaining tickets after the incident and the way the attendant handled it.

DANGEROUS AND AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN !!

NOTE TO MANAGEMENT

MAYBE YOUR CCTV IS MALFUNCTIONING THE SAME AS YOUR SPRINKLER SYSTEM WAS ! I SUGGEST YOU GO BACK AND RE CHECK IT ! LOL

EXPECTED THIS KIND OF EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT AFTER READING PREVIOUS REVIEW'S. NO WONDER YOUR STAFF ARE THE WAY THEY ARE. INCOMPETENT AND RUDE.

Oh and CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU FOR BEING THE MOST REVOLTING MANAGER WE HAVE EVER COME ACROSS 😊

PS...AND THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS HURT WAS ONE OF THE BOYS THAT WAS WITH US.

I WILL ACCEPT AN APOLOGY FROM...
