KFC Salamander Bay — Restaurant in Salamander Bay

We dined in on 11th Oct 2023 and ate there for lunch. Lady at front was very new but was sadly not setup to succeed. No support from anybody in her team. Shame on management at this location. They weren’t understaffed as they had someone on their iPad playing with a KFC app and a very young looking staff member talking to him the entire time this new team member struggled. Someone was on break at the same time which they are entitled to but perhaps be strategic with timing and work out a way to support the new team member ie. don’t leave them on their own during peak periods. I offered the new lady at front that I just use the self serve kiosk but she was adamant she would put through the order. She wasn’t sure how to put my order through. Another patron had a simple burger combo and she was unsure about that too. I ended up just ordering anything just to get food into my family! We had to line up again to get serviettes and spoons (can’t eat coleslaw with our hands). Recommendations: A capable Manager needs to be employed here. There is zero leadership and accountability. Staff to be retrained and rostering and lunch break timing needs to be reassessed. Be strategic and align to service demand. Shame on management. Worst service at any KFC location...

Never have I been more disappointed with KFC in all my life. I walked from my resort to the restaurant over an hour before they’re due to close. Upon arriving here, it appeared that the doors were locked and I was unable to enter the restaurant to order my food. On the door it suggested to download the app for pick up orders. I did exactly that. When I went to finish my order, the app informed me that this restaurant was not taking any more orders. I had to return back to my hotel to drive my rental car across the road to enter drive through. I ordered an original tenders box, zinger box and a box of popcorn chicken. The team member accepted the order and took my money without hesitation. After payment, the team member tells me there’s no tenders left and only 3 wicked wings left for the boxes. We accepted this fact that the tenders would be swapped for chicken fillets. At the next window, we are told there are no wicked wings or potato and gravy left. We had to settle for a zinger tender and gravy replacements. We received our disappointing order and were still missing a box of popcorn chicken and any sauces. Com'on, this is an absolute joke, KFC HQ you need to get here to Salamander bay and sort this out. Just the simple thing of providing the customer what they got charged for and actually ordered would be a really good start. Read the feed back being given for this place, it has to start with the manager, the staff area only a reflection of the standard they set which at the moment is not even measurable. Asked for Zinger crunch box with additional bacon, cheese and supercharged sauce. even though the young lass repeated the order to me when I picked it up, open the burger and all I got was the extra cheese. Here is one tip for the manager, maybe tell one of your young male staff to put his phone away and concentrate on what he is getting paid for and maybe do it correctly.
