Nimbin Show Grounds — Attraction in Nimbin

Pretty good spot, quiet, felt safe, track in has a few pot holes at the moment but fine to access for both small and large vans. Power and water located around the perimeter of the oval. Lots of other space to camp without direct access to power and water. Price is the same whether you use power or not. Its a bit soft underfoot in a few spots and ground churned in some areas so a bog risk. Amenities good and clean, some of the doors needed a big of maintenance but wasn’t a big issue, they might be a bit of a walk to get to them relative to where you stop. Its not far...

A huge space that extends well beyond the main oval. Laid back check-in and check-out process. No bookings unless there’s an event on, usually just rock up and you can pay with cash or paypass in the late afternoon or in the morning when the caretaker does their rounds. Amenities were clean and refreshed daily. $15 a night is cheaper than cheap. A good stop over if you’re passing through or visiting for a couple of days. 1200m walk to the main strip is easy...

We visited Nimbin in the 1st week of December 2023 and stayed on this campsite. Compared to several other campsites (up to 60.-$ for 1 car and 3 persons) this one is cheap and clean for just $40 a night. There are hot showers, proper toilets, electricity and cooking facilities.

The caretaker, Jason, does a very good job and is always helpful - during a heavy thunderstorm he drove around the site to see if anyone needed help - remarkable!
