This lookout has a fantastic view with a short trail (stairs) which allows you to see many amazing rock formations. Friendly for kids but not those with mobility challenge as you need to walk through some stairs. The view of Shoalhaven River is so vast and windy as though you are looking at the ocean! Parking is only 50m away so it's very convenient. There are benches at the flat area so if you are travelling with elderly who don't want to explore the trail, they can rest at the sitting area and enjoy the view. Highly recommended if you are in Nowra!

A great little 4km look walk along ‘Bens walk’. The easy track runs down to the river and through some nice and varied Aussie bush terrain. The rocky features make for some nice photos and the open sections near the dairy farm are also nice. The river crossings are fun and easy enough, even with small kids. A few flys in the section after the bridge, but you get past them soon enough.

Great views of the Shoalhaven River and the look out is also the beginning of a 2 hour walk called Bens Walk. If you’re feeling energetic give it a go. It’ll take you through bush, across a suspension bridge and through a rocky outlook all with views of the river. Plenty of wildlife to be found as well. Very peaceful and revitalising for the soul. Definitely worth it 😁

Ben's Walk was absolutely gorgeous, spectacular and varied scenery, lots of birds. Be warned track is graded 'easy' but it's at least 'medium' in quite a few parts.. the weir crossing over rocks is difficult unless you are young and very agile. Very steep descent and ascent into trail. Hiking boots and pole recommended if older or any war injuries. Finish off with visit to Old Salt Distillary nearby for lunch and you will...
