Beautiful park with playground for range of ages, the smaller toddlers might have a bit hard of a time but it suited my 3 year old. It can be quite high on some equipment but other equipment is very friendly for the young years with ramps up and slides down. I'd say great if you have a couple of different ages.
The train was lovely to see, aboard and explore.
The swing flying fox was AMAZING for small humans, it wasn't so large that you have to run with them so they don't fall off at the end with a big bang of a finish, it was nice and simple left to right, very friendly for that "middle age" where they aren't ready for the full thrill yet but want to play on it all.
It was well kept with access to water nearby.
Not much shade though but if the sun aligns, the trees provide a bit. Bring your sun smart...
Read moreWe went here to visit the nice old FX class steam locomotive No. 217 Built 1915. I wasn't and I'm still not interested in the rest of the park. It"s an advantage park with walking tracks and kids play equipment..and some basic toilets that are in well need of and update with even the toilet roll dispensers falling apart when you try to use them..
So no this 5 star review is for the amazing locomotive sitting on the edge of the park . Furthermore if it wasn't there and kept in such condition, we wouldn't have even stopped .
If you are into trains or locomotives , then I suggest you pay this locomotive a visit. It's one of the few you can actually walk through the engineers compartment..we thoroughly enjoyed our explore...
Read moreThis is a great park for kids & families with swings & slippery dip. The train is a draw card which the kids enjoy & the playground is suitable for toddlers - upwards. There are toilets available & a skate park, some shelter & picnic benches. If you follow the trail there is also a nature walk & in the early Spring the trees are in blossom - a draw card for photographers. There is ample parking & it is close to takeaway, fuel & a supermarket...
