Subway — Restaurant in Nuriootpa

I had gone through the drive through here once, it took 12 minutes to get served & 8 minutes to get my sandwich made. So this time I decided I would physically go in.

This is by far the worst subway I have ever been to.

The young man that served me was incredibly slow & could not seem to remember what I had ordered & asked me 3 times. At one point he just stopped & stared into the distance... The other staff were just as slow & one staff member was busy making sandwiches for herself despite the line forming behind me. The serving of salad was miserably small & even though I asked for "a little bit of mayo" he squirted on 4 lines of the stuff & then only half wrapped it. When my son tried to eat it the whole thing was a sloppy mess.

When I asked if I could have the sandwiches in a meal with cookies he said "I guess, if you want".

The whole experience, to buy 2 sandwiches, took 18 minutes. Completely unacceptable.

Given the other reviews I am surprised at my experience here but I can't deny how bad it was.

I will never go back here.

Addendeum: I went back, a year later. I ordered a six inch meatball sub with cheese and salad. The wait was short, though the 'sandwich artist' was far from pleasant. When I took a bite of my sub, the meatballs were still frozen.

Ok. This time I mean it....

The worst Subway I have ever been to and I won't be going back. The staff are rude and under trained. I waited for close to half and hour to be served while the staff were socializing with their friends. There was a fly in the seafood. They only had 1 choice of bread although it was only 7:30pm. They only put 2 small pieces of beetroot on my 6 inch sub. Goodness, if I'm paying extra for it, I want at least the minimum amount. When I got to the paying stage, close to 40 minutes after walking in, I wanted to make it a meal so that I could scan the OTR app but, of course there were no cookies. The staff were very rude and blunt and wouldn't make it a meal so I could scan the app even without the cookies. I was left beyond disappointed with Subway Nuriootpa and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If I want Subway, I go all the way to Kapunda were I know the staff are friendly and the food is...

Amazing fast food place to stop by especially if you're passing through or just fuelling up. The staff are absolutely lovely and always make you feel welcome. The choices and options of sandwich are numerous and the options for drink are great especially when the inclusion of a slushy machine is taken into account.
