Listening to the very solemn telling of the events that happened prior to and on the 28th of October 1834 makes you wonder why anything in the "Peel"region is ever named after the ruthless murderer that is Thomas Peel and his accomplices James Stirling and EG Meares. I was disappointed that the park was closed. There is a memorial Park on the edge of town with a rock monument and plaque describing the massacre that took place here almost 200 years ago. I gather the townsfolk are not that keen on drawing attention to...
