I wanted to love it after seeing on their own signage that this bakery had won awards, but I was left disappointed.

They advertise a 4pm closing time on Sundays, however when I got there 3:30 all the chairs were stacked on the tables and the food displays were mostly empty, almost like they were in a rush to go home early so decided to start the packing up routine while the shop was still open, even though there seemed to be a lot of customers still coming in. It was such a weird feeling being in what looked like a closed shop.

They had even turned off the pie warmer, and refused to heat up a cold pie even though it was full price (over $7), the same price as a hot pie. The second pie I bought was in the warm display case so it was marked down to $3.50, which would be closer to the price I would expect to pay for full price.

The young staff were helpful, however they had to check with an older woman about all of my questions. She was very abrupt and not at all helpful.

I was happy to find a vegan pie on the menu so I ordered two, one each for my son and I. Luckily my son didn’t mind eating his cold, because it had been in the fridge for the next day and they refused to heat it up as the oven had already been turned off.

I think it’s great they have a vegan option, but I wasn’t prepared for it to be so spicy. I could barely finish it, it made my lips burn. The pastry was chewy, like stale chewy, possibly from being in the cabinet all day. I’m not sure how long they are kept in the fridge for before reheating, so not sure when it was actually made. The green peas and beans were over cooked and mushy, while the potato pieces were not tender enough. The vegetables were in a jelly like sauce which held the vegetables together nicely but gave it a slimy texture. It’s a shame there is no other vegan option, as that level of spice is just too much for some, and vegans have no other pies to choose from.

Editing to add that my son now has diarrhoea, hopefully not from the...

Does the one on the left look like their advertisement on the right? I’ll leave this here and you better judge at $9.20? I have nothing against your bakery except the pies you sell to us are not the ones you win awards with, just look at the two photos, I don’t need you to reply or do anything with the price you charge. I’d rather go around the corner I just wish more people would realise. What a ridiculous statement saying I have some kind of vendetta against you🤣🤣😳 you keep saying you stand by your product but haven’t explained why the two pictures look different? You’re very popular. That’s fantastic. No one wants to see anyone go out of business but don’t spend two months making pies for contest and bragging about winning a contest where they give out five gold medal awards for the each section? In the main competition ive noticed you haven’t won anything the past two years but that’s a different story. I hold no ill will against you at all except why don’t you just sell what you enter into the competition or advertise? That’s all I’m asking. I know you’re a mass produced bakery now ,I’ve been...

Bought a beef bacon and cheese pie and found only mince and a tiny bit of cheese. Def no ā€œcrispy baconā€ as they state in their description. I took it back to the counter thinking they had given me a mince pie by mistake but was told by the very defensive staff that that’s how they are made.. beef and bacon is minced. I’m afraid for $8.50! I expected something with lumps of meat and bacon and tasty. Very over priced and to be honest I’ve had had better Macs! Simply not tasty just like it was.. a mince pie…def nothing like the photos they show on their website with chunks. ( I had removed the top of the pie and there was no sign of "diced bacon"..the lady behind the counter actually said it was minced with the beef, and the cheese was on the bottom of the pie.) I am not trying to be damaging or vindictive..I simple like to get what I pay for and this was far from it. Partner had a Cornish pastie which she said was very dry also. I also had an apple turnover which was 90% mock cream and only about 10% apple....

I’m visiting from Melbourne and one of my colleagues repeated a thousand times that, no matter what, I must stop at the Pinjarra Bakery and try their pies. I got the Gold Digger — Gourmet Chunky Steak & Mushroom ($8.90) and also a Chilli Cheese Smokey Dog ($7.20). The pie was very nice. The pastry was flakey and buttery. It was very full with steak and mushrooms. Personally for my taste, I found it quite underseasoned - I believe it needs quite a bit more salt & pepper. Next time, I’ll try the pepper steak, which would likely be more to my liking. The Chilli Cheese Smokey Dog was probably one of the best I’ve had — the Kranski-like sausage had the perfect amount of chilli in it and the cheese just took it to a while another level! Overall, if you’re in the area, you should definitely make sure you stop and treat yourself! šŸ˜‹

Pies and sausage rolls have been nice but no plates and cutlery. Reason: Covid spread. But what Covid in WA? No new cases. You can't spread a disease that nobody have. I think is just commodity. Why they should work washing dishes when they can not to? Also no sauce. The first bakery i've been in and they don't give you a sauce when you buy a 6-7$ pie. The sauce is extra. You can buy tomato sauce for 40c I have also bouth a vanilla slice. Served in a bag with a plastic fork and bamboo knife. Lol The cake haven't been so good. The top sweet with a pink something under the icing like it was covered once, melted and covered again. The vanilla custard not sweet and a bit salty. They have used salt insted of sugar? They have poured some salt in the sugar tab? Who knows?
