I visited Tulloch wines over the weekend for a hens. At first glance it’s a beautiful winery, nice place settings , downstairs has a bit of a stench but once your situated you get used to it. Our wine tasting started off nice , the host was informative and made an effort to show on the order page what we were up to. After 3 tastings our host didn’t return and the rude host from another table took it upon herself to involve herself in our tasting and “ended it”. It appears that false accusations were made about the group to cover her own backside as followed: 1- Drinking out of a spittoon- firstly who does this? (Very gross) Also we weren’t given enough of a tasting experience to put wine in the spittoon. 2-A claim was made that we were asked multiple times to be quiet, can confirm this did not happen as we were not being noisy. Laughter is a normal human function it’s not a burden unless your sour. 3-There was one incident of a “profanity” coming out during a friendly jest to which the sour host responded “no you are not doing that and guess what ladies your tasting is done as of right now” when this sour host in question was asked what happened by 3 separate people as most of the group was confused she stood there like a stunned mullet with no reply. 4-There was a wine glass that broke from the stem by ACCIDENT not due to intoxication, but of course you need more lies to build up your “incident report” 5-Unruly behaviour as per the sour host was mentioned, it appears this host doesn’t like to see a young group of women enjoying each other’s company. The group with the children caught up with us later in the evening and were also confused why their host kicked us out because they didn’t feel we were doing anything wrong either.
We had multiple wine selections on our order forms and were excited to buy wines which didn’t happen. It appears the host has exaggerated and lied to cover the fact that she just cost the business money.
I have also reviewed a lot of reviews and it appears the common issue is a lack of customer service and rude staff. Please look in your own establishment for issues.
And no I will not remove my review because it’s honest so do not ask. Have a great day Tulloch Wines all the best.
Edit As I can’t reply directly I’ll edit my review- I would love to see the security footage because the...

Read moreFWIW, I don't usually review wines but I think it would be unfair not to write about the once-in-a-lifetime experience I had at Tulloch!
Initially, Tulloch was not part of the wineries I wanted to cover in my Christmas Hunter Valley Road Trip. However, on a quick pit stop here (on the way to Audrey Wilkinson), I noticed the homely ambience and the selection of wines. Having though about it a bit more after leaving, we decided to make a booking for the day after.
Next day, we got there around 3.30pm, just in time to be the last group for the day. Clare (our wine mum) immediately captured out attention with our 10/10 energy and told us to sit down and listen. This set the tone for a completely unexpected tasting session.
Throughout the session, Clare not only shared with us well over 15 wines, but also tailored the session to our palates, enabling us to enjoy what we like to our hearts' content. She told us about the wines themselves, the history of the winery and most heartwarming of all - stories from her own life and family
