To get to this little lookout, you need to park your car some 30-40m up the road, then walk on the sidewalk till you get to the turnoff, then you take the turn and continue walking for another 20-30m and get to the lookout. There is a nice-looking arch, a table and bench, and viewing platform. Some pretty standard view from lookouts like this, but still good view. Read moreI noticed some people said you need to park far away which may be the case in the holiday peak seasons. Normally we can just stop by the road side and park next to the entrance path near the main road, and it’s a 10meter walk to the lookout. So timing to visit is quite essential. The lookout also connects to the costal walk so if you plan to walk all the way from the tow centre to the light house look out, this one is in the middle of the route. There are some solid timber tables to sit at and if you are there at the right time and the NE breeze is blowing, you might even be treated to some of the local paragliding experts having fun in the sky.
The walk down to Shelly Beach via the walking track is only 5 minutes, be careful on the stairs. The walk up is tough but totally worth it.
