Stayed here for a few nights, $25 for a powered site. Toilets and showers very clean, great little camp kitchen with fire pit. Friendly caretaker, very quiet over night and an added bonus on Thursday's and Saturday's 3. 30pm to 5.30pm live music by the ,"G Strings" performing at the railway station. You can sit in the camp kitchen and watch the performance from there for free. Recommend this stay.

One of the most interesting van parks we have ever stayed in. We just did a tour of the old carriages which are open Mondays and Thursdays from 2-3:30 pm. The toilets and showers are very clean as is the yard. We sat around an open fire in the camp kitchen and had a blast of a night with other campers. Many interesting train memorabilia. $20 a night power and water.

Good clean amenities. Right in town at the railway station. $20.00 per night including power. Gold coin donation for showers. Great pleasant volunteers running it. So much to see and do in the area including, Millbrook falls and the highest pub in Australia, (altitude 😉) I would certainly recommend staying for a few nights

Called in to suss out areas for staying a couple of days over the school holidays, and look at the train as the kids wanted to really go there. So wanted to see if it was worth staying there just for the train. Turns out NO.... Due to the rain we pulled up out of the way, a man walked past (works there) and said hello, seen we were having a look at the place without getting wet, didn't say we couldn't, then a woman in a hi viz shirt, white ute, dog in the car, pulled up in front of us pulling disgusted faces, saying something but had window up so wasn't listening, signaling for us to move (we weren't in the way and there's no signage to say that you cant pull up). Very rude and uncomfortable, so won't stay there now or recommend it. You don't have a caravan park at a cool train and then be rude when people come look too see if it's worth staying at.... Quite muddy areas, over crowded area.... No trees, nothing welcoming about the place apart...

Unfortunately I write a bad review about this caravan park. we had broken down and were towed into this campsite. The lady shouted at us staying we had no manners because we turned up to the camp site without booking. We tried to explain whilst still being attached to the towing vehicle that we had broken down 5 minutes ago so had no time to prebook the empty caravan park. Her husband had to then drag her away from shouting at us as he could see how we had done nothing wrong. I dont really know why she reacted in such an unfriendly manner to us trying to pay for a night. I would advise you stay at ravenshoe hotel where it is cheaper ($15 or...

The volunteers were lovely. It is a shame the trains are not in better condition and open to look at each day. I understand that there would need to be more people to run this kind of thing but even if they were only open for a few hours would be great. The station is lovely and the facilities are clean, however the grounds of the actual caravan park although they were clean and tidy were not the best set up. The part I absolutely loved was the shop in the caravan park called the Barn, this is open to the public and the lady that runs it is such a...
