Country Mile Café — Restaurant in Queensland

I would not recommend stopping in at this cafe if you are passing through town. Even more so if you need to stop for a coffee and write an email! Awful service. Both workers here were so rude to us the second we sat down and refused access to a PowerPoint (which is all fine and dandy, but don’t speak to the customers so poorly when they are unaware of your policies, a simple ‘Hello, we aren’t able to assist you with that today im sorry, maybe try somewhere else?’) Again, all good if you don’t want people using your PowerPoints. Maybe communicate to your customers in a more professional and appropriate manner so they don’t feel like they’re walking on eggshells in your cafe. The girl that served me does not deserve a job. Certainly has not been trained in customer service. She had the I'm so bored look and was literally tapping her fingers on the counter whilst I was ordering and had a look at the board to see what hot drinks/coffee I wanted. Then when I was given the toasted sandwiches I had ordered, I left and nearly jumped in the car to leave when I realised she didn't give me the coffee I had ordered. A no star rating from me. The food from here just keeps getting worse. Thought we would give them another try today, after a couple of bad food experiences. 3 strikes and you are out. My granddaughter ordered Spanish mackerel. Highly unlikely it seemed, to be Spanish mackerel.

The service is so poor, it is almost non existent. The way staff speak to each other in ear shot of customers is very unprofessional. Swearing in a business setting is not okay....
