Improve your administration and customer services
I've been on the larc tour a few years ago and I loved it but I give you a 1 star rating for your lack of customer service and administration processes.
Myself and my aunt were booked on the full day tour for today (31 January). Your office called me last Friday to give a heads up that you had (so far) not reached your minimum numbers and if this did not happen "by next week" the tour may not go ahead.
On Monday 29th January I called the larc office and spoke with the same lady. I asked her for an update on my tour booking and she stated you still had not reached minimum numbers 'but you never know, a bus load of people might arrive in town and make a booking " and that the tour was not being cancelled yet. She stated she would call me on Tuesday to let me know if it was going ahead.
I waited for a phone call from your office yesterday. It got to THREE PM (less than 24 hours before the tour start) and I had still heard nothing so I called your office and a person advised me in a very blase tone that "yeah it's being cancelled ". I asked her what the minimum numbers are for any of your tours and she stated 10 people. She then went onto state that my booking of two people were the only ones booked for that particular tour.
Your company advertises your Terms and Conditions for customer cancellations ..where's the common courtesy to contact your customer in a timely manner? Especially when it was quite obvious by Monday that you weren't going to find 8 more people for the tour.
Were you waiting for me to cancel so you could avoid refunding?
Won't be...
Read moreWhat an incredible day! The staff are amazing - a special shout out to Kev and our Skipper Ant who were absolutely brilliant! They were funny, personable and so warm. They were quick to help and keen to share their knowledge with us and make us all feel welcome. The All Day Paradise tour was fantastic. The LARC is a beast, and it’s fun to switch from land to sea so quickly. Scaling the terrain to the lighthouse was a feat, but Skipper Ant handled it like a pro. The lighthouse was nice and the museum volunteers very knowledgeable, and the view is superb. The sand tobogganing was a highlight for many of the families on the trip and it was nice to have a refreshing dip in the creek and watch for fish, crabs and rays. Kev kept us well fed and the food was nice and fresh - kudos to the caterers! I honestly couldn’t recommend this enough. I’ll hopefully be back one day with my friends and family so they can enjoy this as much as I did! Only one thing I’d want to mention - children might find this too long, and they might not be as enthusiastic about the lighthouse history or natural beauty. Maybe LARC will put on a new shorter tour just to take people sand...
Read moreTook my family on the all day tour yesterday and everyone enjoyed. It was a great cruise up the beach, little bit of offroading in the LARC and informative historical lesson of the area when you get to the light house. following that we did some sand tobogganing on some of the sand dunes in the bay. Morning tea and lunch was simple but it was fresh and tasted great made locally that morning. But the best part was the guy on the mic cracking dad jokes all day. He deserves more credit lol. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area and make sure you do the full all day tour that takes you all the way up to Bustard Lighthouse. Suggestions time, the LARC is quite noisy and I realise it's a 1960's model. Definitely was a lot of bearing noise coming from the rear axel or in that area and the engine was also very loud. Possibly the operator could look at some more sound deadening in the engine compartment, better exhausts and a zinc additive for the bearing noise just a Suggestion that will make an already great experience even better. Thanks for an awesome...
