The Mad Max Museum in Silverton is an absolute must-visit for anyone with an appreciation for film, history, or unique Australian landmarks. Located in the iconic town of Silverton, which served as the backdrop for several scenes in Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, the museum offers an immersive experience into the world of the film and its cultural impact.

The museum is a treasure trove of memorabilia, featuring original costumes, props, vehicles, and photographs from the Mad Max franchise. Fans will be thrilled by the authentic display of movie artifacts, including the famous interceptor car and the war rig, both of which are centerpieces of the exhibit. The collection spans across the entire Mad Max series, with fascinating details and behind-the-scenes stories that bring the film to life.

Adrian and Linda, the museum’s owners, are the heart and soul of the experience. Their passion for Mad Max and the history of Silverton is evident in every corner of the museum. Adrian’s deep knowledge of the films and the making of the series provides a personal touch, while Linda’s warmth and hospitality make visitors feel truly welcome. They are eager to share their stories and offer insightful anecdotes about the filming process, the significance of Silverton in the movie, and the lasting impact Mad Max has had on pop culture.

Whether you're a die-hard fan of the franchise or simply a lover of unique tourist attractions, the Mad Max Museum offers something for everyone. With its rich history, incredible displays, and the genuine warmth of Adrian and Linda, it stands as a true gem in the Australian outback and is an essential stop for anyone exploring the area. Unreal Experience – A Must for Mad Max Fans

If you're heading to Silverton, the Mad Max Museum is an absolute must. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just curious about Aussie film history, this place delivers. The collection is huge – original costumes, vehicles, props, and rare behind-the-scenes photos. You can feel the passion and dedication that went into creating this space.

Adrian and Linda, the owners, are legends. Their love for Mad Max and Silverton is infectious. Adrian knows everything about the films and shares stories that make you feel like you’re part of the production crew. Linda is super warm and welcoming – it feels like visiting old friends.

There are areas where photography isn’t allowed, but you’ll still get epic shots outside with some of the original vehicles, including pieces from Razorback and of course Mad Max 2. Just a heads up – check the opening hours before you come out, as it can be a bit unpredictable.

After the museum, pop into the local bakery – seriously, amazing food. Silverton surprised me in the best way – it’s a little town packed with big stories.

A waste of time! We were going to go in but the tin shed looked so uninviting from the outside we couldn’t justify the $10 entry fee - each! It looks like things left on the set of Mad Max 2! And don’t get me started on the road and parking facilities! The entry fee isn’t going towards upgrading those! A “museum” for die hards only.

“Ps”: Interestingly the person who left a review before me also judged your “museum” from the outside. This would mean they also “judged the book by its cover” but it was a 5 star review 😂.

If you can’t handle criticism perhaps don’t allow people to leave honest feedback. Clearly tourism isn’t an industry for you. Maybe you should Google that.

I stand by my comment and your response alone deserves the 1 star review.
