We absolutely loved our experience at the Silverton Camel Farm! We came for a camel ride and were warmly welcomed by Petah and Duncan. Both of them were so attentive and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about their camels and the history of the farm. I had shoulder surgery not long ago and was a little worried about the ride. Petah picked the most gentle camel for me, and Duncan checked on me while we were riding to ensure everything was okay with me.

The whole riding experience was terrific. Kids 11,13,14 all loved it and wanted to come back again! So we didn’t wait long. After visiting surrounding national parks and Menindee Lake, we returned a few days later to camp here for a couple of nights. Kids love the animals, geese, chooks, emus, ostriches, donkeys, sheep, deer, pony, pigs, alpacas, cats and dogs. You name it, and they have it. All the animals are well looked after and cared for. Kids had plenty hands on experiences of living on a real farm. Bottle feeding 8 baby goats, feeding ostriches, walking 10 dogs at once and helped put the cheeky donkeys back to their pan.

Very unique, fun stays, and highly recommended. I would give it 10 stars if I could. A must do and stay if you have the time for the...

My wife & her friend payed online to do a tour with Petah on the 6/4/25 at 1130 we paid $25 each & they were very excited to do the tour with the lady that rescues animals. My wife & her friend turned up 5 minutes prior & waited 20 minutes for Petah the owner to turn up. Petah was a no show but there were two gentleman feeding animals down the bottom place of her property, I being the husband approached them & asked about the owner Petah & about the tour my wife & her friend were supposed to be doing. The gentleman tried to text her & we waited. Meanwhile my wife’s friend had rung her several times without any luck. The gentleman did finally offer to take my wife and her friend on the tour. They declined this offer as they wanted & thought they were paying for Petah to take them on the tour. This is false advertising & my wife & her friend would have never paid for this tour. Petah has refused to refund stating that we can arrange another time but it will not be her doing the tour. We were leaving the next day so it was...

Firstly I need to apologise for taking so long before I post a review. Trust me it’s not been for the lack of trying. I returned back to England almost 2 months ago and I’m still highly impressed by the wonderful service of Petah and Duncan. The first time I visited their place I arrived, unannounced, without a booking and was met with greetings usually reserved for old friends and family. They were already busy with a tour underway but they graciously made time for me giving clear instructions which were easy to follow. They went above and beyond, with incredible inclusivity for me and the many people I’ve returned with, (friends from various walks of life, some with SEN) on subsequent visits. You can expect trampolining with the goats, getting hugs from deer to stupendous camel rides with Duncan’s entertainment throughout. In my humble opinion it’s truly criminal to come anywhere near without visiting. Such is the quality. I can not wait to return to see how they expand and wish those involved at Silverton Outback...

Our experience with Silverton Outback Camels was amazing! We visited in Jan uary 2023, after a day's delay due to some extreme weather. We arrived at 7pm, and mounted up on the camel train - my wife and I were not directly together, but the train was not too long, and we could call to each other. During the walk, we learned all about camels, and took in the serene beauty of Silverton at sunset. We walked across the back of the property, into the main street to an open section where the sunset views were the best. After watching the sunset at 8:20pm, we then made our way back in the twilight and were back before the light was gone. We absolutely loved our time there, and Petah took plenty of photos of everyone to share with us! If you're visiting Broken Hill, I 100% recommend taking the time to head out to Silverton for this experience, it's unmissable.
