Located in Sydney outskirts some 45-60 min drive from Sydney CBD, this place is perfect spot that blows the mind. Entry fee in a vehicle is $12. Excelent place to recreate and enjoy the weekend. Lots of stuffs to do with family and friends views of the lake and Mt Colah are beautiful. Things like recreational Fishing kayaking boating hiking broadwalk sight seeing BBQ soccer frisbee running bushwalking cycling around beautiful scenery bring your own picnic basket or enjoy brunch at the cafe. Even boating of any form if you are into those. A good size children playground with lots of activities for them to do. Lots of space and ample facilities like parking space and BBQ areas toilets, undercover seating and tables but does fill up quick during public holidays.

Does get very warm during the peak summer days so use the trees or provided man made shades and keep yourself well hydrated if your on the walk around tue park.

Just be super careful on the drive to and from this spot from entry points as we have some very narrow roads and hidden corners with just as many idote drivers with the big vehicles with the jet skies thinking they...

🌿 A hidden gem just outside the city! 🌿

Bobbin Head in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is one of the most peaceful and enriching places we've ever visited as a family. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by lush greenery, calm waters, and the sounds of nature.

We did the Mangrove Boardwalk, a short and easy trail that takes you through a serene mangrove forest—perfect for kids! Just a short walk further and you’ll find yourself in a cool, energy-filled rainforest with a truly sacred feel. The air is fresh, the trees are ancient, and you can sense the deep Aboriginal cultural connection to this land. It’s a beautiful way to teach children about Australia's rich First Nations heritage.

There’s something for everyone here—kayaking and canoeing on the calm waters, fishing by the shore, or just relaxing with a picnic by the river. The picnic areas are well-maintained, and there are even cafes nearby if you forget to bring snacks.

Highly recommended for families, couples, or even a solo walk to reconnect with nature. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for such a magical place so close...

I'd like to say that Bobbin Head is a horrible place and all should avoid like the plague. But I'd be lying, and the reason for the lie would be because I'm being selfish and want everyone to stay away so I can have the whole place to myself.

Bobbin Head is a snapshot of paradise contained deep with Sydney, with good picnic, dining, and walk/explore options. There are also kayaks for hire or bring your own boat via the boat ramp.

I love to escape to here for a few hours whenever possible and find a nice secluded spot away from it all to enjoy the serenity and views. Be warned that Bobbin Head is popular and it can get a little crowded at times. Understandable considering the stunning scenery and sheer beauty...

Great place for a day out. Google maps shows a longer route if you are in the Hornsby area. There is a nearer route via Mt Colah. The place is a valley and has back waters, and next to water there are picnic areas with few BBQ, children's play area, and a lot of open space. There is a cafe to grab some food. You can bring in your own paddle boats or kayaks, there is a paid peddle boat as well. Board walk is awesome when the water level is high. It gets a bit busy over weekends. Overall a great place to hang out for a day. Even a quick visit can take up to two hours to explore the place. Wheel chair friendly area for accessibility. Toilets are accessible too and maintenance is average.
