Charles Dickens Statue — Attraction in Sydney

Lovely statue of celebrated author Charles Dickens. It is interesting to note that any such thing was in direct opposition to his last wishes; he asked for his literary works to be his memorial. There are only 3 in the world, one in Portsmouth his birth place, one in Philadelphia and how lovely that we have this one here. I have a soft spot for statues of writers, and so was happy to find Charles. As others have noted, such statues are rare and it would be lovely to have more information nearby.
