Horrible experience. Which is a shame on such beautiful and enjoyable location. Food was ok and location has easy access. Limited menu if you are GF. The reason we chose this cafe today was because it closes at 5 pm. We arrived at 3:45 pm. Even though we were on a table, staff brought our food on take away bags saying they were closing soon. It was 4 pm. Imagine how inconvenient is to eat your banana bread, trying to spread butter and all, on top of a paper bag because they decided not to give you normal plates and cutlery. On top of that, at 4:30 pm, staff asked us to leave the place because they were about to close. So rude! I asked what time they were closing and they said "before 5 pm", but they wanted us to leave anyway. The place had some costumers and everyone had to leave before the closing time. Unprofessional. They never came to out table and to get some water I had to walk to the water fountain myself. No table service despite of the amount of staff paid to be there. We...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting service.. When my coffee was ready, I was given a small instead of the large, which I had ordered and paid for. Innocent mistake on their behalf, no issue. However, the girl-KALISA (prob spelt wrong!) was creditable rude suggesting I had to pay more if I wanted a large. I told her I had already paid for a large but she just stood there looking at me, as if to say I wasn’t getting my coffee unless I paid the additional 40cent. To my embarrassment, in front of other waiting customers, I had to log on to my internet banking to show her I had actually paid for the large coffee. Once I showed her, she reordered my large coffee and walked off, no apology for humiliating me in front of waiting customers, or acknowledgment it was their mix up. Other waiting customers also commented on how rude she was. Disappointing as I had planned to go back there for brunch with my partner. (Went to Spruce Goose instead, located near...
Read moreThey sell coffee. It is Sufficient. Nothing more. The Greenhouse (not aptly named) building holds up the roof. The chairs support our bodies. The tables work. We get coffee but it's a transaction in a window and there really is no atmosphere at all. It's a functional meeting spot as charmless as a concrete bike rack (which they have). Serves coffee and industrial pastries in a robotic manner. Which is what it is. So I'll be back inevitably as there are so few options.A wonderful park and company...
