They only thing this place has going for it is the friendly staff and a clean pool / BBQ area. When we entered our kookaburra cabin the only bed that was made was the double. The double bed is on casters and rolled around everytime you got on it. The blankets are really old. Nothing felt clean inside, my first thought was omg what am I going to catch. Skirting was not water proof so there were bits of wood chips around the room after our 2 day stay. Which worried me they would charge me a cleaning fee. Thank goodness they didn't. If you use the dishes and utensils you're relying on the cleanliness of others because you are required to clean them or incurred and cleaning fee. Our cooker in our room did not cook well, took 2 hours to cook a steak and boiled potatoes. Had to use the BBQ the second night which did work. The games room had a broken table tennis table held together with clamps and if you bumped it, it would come lose. We used the paddles and one broke as we were playing. The soap they provided was not the best for sensitive skin, my daughter got a burning sensation. Unfortunately it was not the best place I have been to and will never return. My advice is take your own cooking stove, soap, utensils and bedding. Proof of stay can...
Read moreQuite possibly the worst holiday park we have ever stayed in. Family of four, wettest March on record, and we weren't allowed to replace the towels even once during our four day stay. They stank of other people's body odour and were soaked by the end of our stay. Playground non existent. Pool cut kids' feet. Cabin booked had outdoor bathroom, but Booking.com very deceptive about this. When I realised and requested upgrade, happy to pay difference for an INTERNAL bathroom, denied. Spent every night escorting children in rain and wet across a slimy courtyard to and from the bathroom. Bathroom very different from photos (read: old campground style, very run down) and full of black mould. Cockroaches - one on bed pillow upon arrival (YUCK) and I killed 12 (!) during our stay. Staff rude and unpleasant, eg. When I requested a towel for the leaky fridge (no apology for this, either) and when our flyscreen fell off our door. We waited two days to get if "fixed", only to have it fall off again 2 hours later. This place is a total nightmare, would make me think twice about booking again with Ingenia, even though our 2019 holiday at Soldiers Point was lovely (and yes, we were allowed replacement towels there!). Gobsmacked at...

So we booked ... then they cancelled our booking, because our dog was larger than 10kg. Apparently it says it on their website, somewhere ... still trying to find where.
This is all I can find, which is taken directly from their site.
"Pets are allowed to stay in our camping and caravan sites, but not in cabins. Learn more about the accommodation available at Ingenia Holidays Sydney Hills today."
Strangely enough, the person whom recommended this accommodation, not only took a similar size dog, they also stay in a cabin?
"Response from the owner 6 days ago Hi Julie, thank you for your feedback. We apologise that your booking at our park was cancelled. On the Pet Friendly Holiday Parks page of our website, it states that guests should contact the park directly regarding any applicable rules at that location."
Strangely we did all the above as requested by the park. We booked direct, we disclosed the type of dog we were bringing, they acknowledged, they booked our stay and sent bookings forms. Next day, we were cancelled due to the "size" of our dog.
Then, they blamed it on the "new" girl, not knowing the terms and conditions...
