As a kid I never had time to notice eucalyptus flowers, or much at all to do with the Australian bush. But Oatley park displays Sydney's native flora magnificently. There's paved roads that loop around the park for four or so kilometres - so small and ideal for brisk morning walks, jogging and even cycling. The park has some wonderful lookouts over Gungah Bay and beyond, a lovely decent sized set of playground equipment - even a stationary land engine restored. There's barbecues and a small sports field. No WiFi but who needs it when trying to commune with mother nature...
