It is located between Collaroy point and the northern base of Long Reef Point and is about 500m long. It's a quiet and picturesque spot largely sheltered from the wind. Whales have been known to visit the area during migration season. These days most fishermen use the boat ramp to launch and head out to the nearby reefs. Surfers can be seen sometimes surfing here as well as wind surfers. Popular beach, lots of tourists and locals. Not known as a beach for swimming. Toilets available. Cafes and restaurants available nearby. Free entry but parking is payable and some find it expensive. Lots of pelicans and seagulls frequent the beach waiting for fisherman to discard fish remains.
