The Red Hands Cave is a little rocky outcropping with some ancient Indigenous art work on it. Its easy to walk past and miss it as the surrounding costal views are stunning. Overall, not the most riveting site but historically interesting. There's quite a nice trail and picnic area surrounding the cave, so I would recommend walking that. If you're in the area pop by and see it. It's amazing that something that old has kept that long.

Clearly visible red hands and an easy hike to see them. Very educational as well. Beautiful trails in the area.

A natural cave with with ochre hand-prints - it's one of the most famous Aboriginal heritage sites in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. (The traditional Guringai people of West Head were decimated by smallpox within a year of the arrival of the First Fleet.) A fairly short walk from the Resolute Picnic Area, and if you do the 4.3km Resolute Loop Trail you'll go...

Easy accessible, but barely protected. I feel that it may soon be damaged by irresponsible people. Nearby there is a picnic area, with tables. The people there were cooking on a portable barbecue with large flames, even although the supplied barbecues in that park where electric, to clearly avoid spark 🔥... People are...
