Resolute Picnic Area is a fantastic spot for a day in nature! It features BBQ facilities, tables, benches, and a shed, along with clean toilet facilities. You'll find plenty of wildlife, including local turkeys and the occasional black cockatoo, but remember not to feed the birds or animals, especially the goanna. The $12 parking fee gives you access to the stunning views that make you feel like you're truly isolated in nature. The short hike down to Resolute Beach is absolutely worth it; despite the rain, the peaceful surroundings were unforgettable. Just remember to bring water, snacks, and sunblock, as there’s no drinking water available. Be prepared for some steep steps on the way back up! If you're looking for a serene escape, Resolute Picnic Area is a hidden gem you won't want to miss!

The car park is tiny, but in a busy day you can park on the road. This place attracts a $12 admission fee. We, a group of 20 people visited this place over the long weekend during Easter for a picnic and day out with kids/family. There were 3/4 tables with benches and all were occupied. The toilets were not properly serviced. The grass area around the benches was dirty and neglected. There was a huge lizard (about 4 feet long) which was often coming towards us and the kids which made our experience very uncomfortable. But the West Head lookout was wonderful.

A part of resolute track is currently closed. And there are 2 entrance to the track. However at only one of the entrances the closure is indicated with signs. At the other entrance next to the toilet there are no such signs. Until we saw the actual closed part of the track we walked for 1 hour approx. After we realised the closure we needed to go back all the way instead of doing a loop. This should have been indicated both of the entrances. Apart from this the track is full of nature and stunning beaches.
