Regatta Park is located on the banks of the Nepean River in a prime location. We visited in July, but there were no flowers at that time. The river was slightly overflowing, covering part of the walkway. The car park was full but free. It’s a great spot for a stroll along the riverside.
There are three eateries here where you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee and something to munch on. The park is accessible and disability-friendly, with plenty of restrooms available. It’s a good spot for get-togethers and picnics, and it even has a heated platform for warming up food you’ve brought from home. One of the cafés is high-end, and there’s also a bar. Read morePretty good new park for kids. Lots of areas for the tiny ones as well as the older ones. Lots of trees surround all the parks which provide very good shade in summer. Only criticism would be the water park area needs an extension to provide shade over the area where the water flow terminates. It’s the area that attracts the kids the most and it is not covered by the existing shade structure. It’s the very final piece that sadly appears unfinished. One thing that I’m not impressed with with is the tunnel bit which is under the climbing tower it has metal beams that stick out and has large metal nuts that stick out that aren’t covered, I don’t think there was much thought into that part of the park and isn’t safe, my toddler hit his head crawling through the tunnel it left him with a big painful lump on the top of his head.
