I can't recommend this track for people outside the area. First of all, there's no sign as to where the track begins. I had to stumble across it down an unmarked worn path. The walk itself is pleasant with trees offering ample shade and the sound of running water from a few streams adding to the tranquility. However, there are many paths on the track with no signs, and since it's not a loop, you may get lost on your way back to where you parked. There are also a lot of muddy patches and loose sticks along the track.
It just feels very poorly maintained. I don't know why there are signs that the area is being rehabilitated when it already...
Read moreReally a lovely sylvan track. You can extend it for several additional kilometers. Only met a few other people in the walk. Impressive trail building efforts with cut stairs in stone and sometimes with hand rails. It is a bit of a descent (ascent in return) and you probably wouldn't want to do it after heavy rains. But... if you seek a quiet and secluded walk among native blue gum and black butt trees.... go for it...
