Opened 15th Oct 2022 by Mayor Clover Moore. It’s a welcome green area in the heart of Green Square with toilets and BBQ area with seating. Main green area is on a gentle slope popular with dogs and children. The grassy areas according to the signs are only for dogs on a leash but the enclosed “drying green” seems to be a defacto off leash dog area so beware when choosing your picnic spot. The BBQ area seems to be the only shaded area - bring your sun protection if visiting in the middle of the day. The novelty of the angular shapes is refreshing, especially after countless round or oval parks in Australia. There are also multiple mini waterfalls which is lined with palm trees and reeds growing from the man made creek ending at small water fountains to keep the water flowing.
