I visited Freycinet National Park and stopped by the Visitor Centre hundreds of times, and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. The staff there were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and they provided me with all the information I needed to make the most of my visit to the park. The Centre itself is also very well-maintained and has a range of interesting displays and exhibits that showcase the natural beauty of the area. I particularly enjoyed learning about the various animals and plant species that call the park home. What really stood out to me, though, was the level of service provided by the staff. They were happy to answer any questions I had and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great experience in the park. I even received some great recommendations on the best hikes to take and the best spots to see the stunning views that the park is known for. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Freycinet National Park Visitor Centre. The park itself is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tasmania and with good reason. But the Visitor Centre really added to my experience and made my visit all the more enjoyable. The staff there is a credit to the park and truly goes above and beyond to make sure that visitors have a great time.

This is an excellently appointed visitor Centre. The facility has interpretive information as well as a great range of hiking and outdoors supplies and general giftware including backpacks, clothing including merino wool beanies and scarves (made in Tassie), sunglasses, books, camping stoves and cooking equipment, water bottles etc. The staff are friendly and informative. This is where you can book campsites in the area, but best to do this by phone in advance over busy periods eg school holiday. They also have water for sale (it is not free for them and heavy water restrictions are often in place in the Park).

Beautiful wine glass bay view, says it is a 1.5 hr hike but it felt like a REALLY long 1.5 hours. Bring lots of water and if you have a cooling towel (a towel that cools you down when damp and lasts for as long as it is damp - go Google it. It is pretty cheap and some daiso stores sell them as well) all you need is some water to activate it (unless you sweat in buckets) Also spotted a wild wallaby as a bonus. Saw some people bringing wine and wine glasses up as well, if you would like to take innovative photos (wish i thought of doing that too)

Wow, what a park! Wonderful nature, a good maintenance of the trails and useful information spots. We met Irina and Megan and they informed us about the care of the forest, and also about the flora and fauna of the place, they introduced us to the importance of caring for and conserving Tasmania's native life, and they even recommended other national parks on the island. They showed us many of the animals we could find in the park, and even more surprising was the wisdom they had and how easy it was to understand them as you could see the love they have for what they do. It would be great if there were more park rangers with their energy, availability and knowledge. After visiting more than 50 national parks around the world, both my partner and I can say that the way they transmitted their knowledge to us is remarkable. Congratulations to both of them and the rest of the...

Great place to visit, a very beautiful park. Was there in January, the peak time for travellers to the state. Heaps of people. All camping sites operated by Parks Tasmania were booked out. Though I’d have heaps of problems finding a campsite. Managed to find a great free spot, “River and Rocks Campground’’. After camping there, I’d say it’s one of the best places to camp at Freycinet. Close to the beach and fishing. Would suggest, you get there early during peak times, it can get pretty crowded. Would certainly recommend a trip to Freycinet for anyone visiting Tasmania. Anyone stuck for accomodation, should check out the Freycinet Golf Club, but, only for self...
