I had an absolutely wonderful time at the San Remo pelican feeding. This is an experience that both adults and kids will thoroughly enjoy. The feeding session, which takes place from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM(every day)⏰, was truly captivating. The sight of numerous pelicans eagerly gathering for their meal was a sight to behold😊. The staff responsible for orchestrating the feeding were not only informative but also incredibly engaging👍. Their enthusiasm😍 added an extra layer of excitement to the event. Once the pelicans were fed, watching them take flight was truly mesmerizing. It's a spectacle that's definitely worth witnessing. Overall, the San Remo pelican feeding is a must see attraction that offers both entertainment and great experience. Lots of space for parking🅿️ cars. Restrooms🚻 are there. It's a perfect outing for families and anyone seeking a unique and memorable encounter with these...

Every day, at noon, the San Remo Fisherman's Co-op feeds the #pelicans the remains from the meals served in the restaurant just beside the bridge to Phillip Island

Plan a stop to watch the pelicans and have lunch at the restaurant. Whatever parts you don't eat, the pelicans get to supplement their own catch!

Val was feeding during our visit and she shared some information on the pelicans. They have no natural predators except humans who compete with them for seafood, and indiscriminately leave trash that they mistake for food 😥

Remember to take nothing but memories (and photos!) and leave nothing but footprints. You can leave your cans and bottles in the pelican sculpture just beside the...

One Came To Save The Day!

It was 11.30am on Saturday. A sunny day to walk around in this small town. It has a very nice view with a bay and docks nearby, and the bridge that connects to Phillip Island. Sadly there was only one Pelican that came, maybe due to it's Autumn, which was matting season, or they had enough food outside the sea. The lady who fed it, gave a very good explanation. There was a big stingray by the beach. There is a place also selling frozen fish at a reasonable price, remember to buy some to grill it if you are staying over in Cowes. Lastly remember to stop by the Scallop Pie shop just across the bridge at Phillip Island, a must try pie here, I bought quiche, vanilla Slice and...

This is a fantastic free event that happens everyday 12pm at San Remo by parking lot closest to the bridge to Philip Island. You can't feed the pelicans but you can get up really close to them and for someone short like me the pelican and I are standing almost eye to eye level!! It's exciting and well worth the trip to stop for a 20 minute look and encounter the birds up close with no barrier. A completely different experience to when you visit the penguins! Ps. Some of the pelicans don't stay within the red string when the feeder sets it up. Also the pelicans do stand in front of the exit way so be mindful of where you choose to stand if shooing extremely large birds isn't your thing!!
