I would suggest to anyone thinking of buying fish from fantasea aquarium to have a very very good look at the fish I purchased 1 expensive $75 goldfish on a Saturday & placed an order for 4 more expensive goldfish to arrive the following Thursday I noticed the first had 3 hookworms on him I put it down to bad luck but when the order came in for the other 4 goldfish they were all riddled with hookworm the & 2 of them weren’t even the breed I had ordered I called them immediately only to be stuffed around I had to call back 3 times before anyone took any interest in my complaint & then I was told to bring back the two fish which were not what I had ordered when I arrived the owner argued the fish weren’t sick they were just scratched, well this morning I found one of the remaining 3 dead with a hook worm near his head for the owner of fantasea who should have a trained eye to not know a hookworm when he sees it is ridiculous I’m not going to bother driving a 2 hour roun trip to talk to people that clearly just don’t care . There are plenty’s of aquariums in the central Coast to choose from that are good I recommend go to those instead save yourself...
Read moreDo not buy fish from this store. After the owner change the quality has taken a massive dive which is a shame when you want to support local businesses. I watched staff fumble to get a fish into a bag to the point one was hand picked out of the net. I paid for 14 rummynose but there were only 13 in the bag...I should have checked but trusted the staff. One did not look good in the bag, floating to the top on the 5 minute drive home, likely the roughly handled one. While acclimating them to the water temperature I could see 1 fish dead in the bag! After a week 6 more have died. As someone who has cared for fish/aquariums for over 10 years I take great pride in the quality of my tank and have never had an experience like this. I urge you to avoid the store if you're after any fish. I will be sticking to trusted stores like All Fish to You which I've bought fish from with no issues. They know how to handle and care for animals and have even shipped fish to me overnight with no problems, compared to this store where a fish won't even make the 5...

On my second visit, I waited for 1 hour to be served, which is understandable given that only one staff member was working. However, once I was served, the staff member was rushing me to serve other customers. If a customer is rushed and pressured to speed up the process, mistakes can occur. Unfortunately, mistakes did happen. I purchased $180 worth of fish, and by the time I arrived home, six had died. The next day, all the fish died. I contacted the store by phone, and they were reluctant to exchange the fish unless I provided a receipt and a water sample. While I had no issue with providing this information, the staff's attitude over the phone was unprofessional. As a result, I refused to return to the store. I will not shop there again. Buyers should be aware of the store's policies. Other local businesses may have more accommodating return policies without the hassle and attitude. I will not return to this...
