A beautifully landscaped and expansive garden to enjoy any social activity. The gardens are spread across the estate in various categories of flora and fauna. There are numerous walking paths allowing you to enjoy each garden, leading you through a mini rainforest, a desert scape and beautiful rose garden which is used for outdoor weddings or just an appreciation of beautiful flowers. You can sit down on many benches along the way and the lawns are well cared for, clean and comfortable to spread a blanket for a picnic. The pond is picturesque and you can walk along a small jetty that leads to an island gazebo in the centre of the pond. You can see fish in the water. Birdlife is present throughout the gardens. Ducks and geese are commonly visible. There is a wonderful childrens play area, including a mini maze and surprisingly large sand pit with web climbing ropes suspended above it. Barbecue facilities are close by making it a great place to have birthday parties as the kids can play in the sand pit/play area. There is a mobile coffee vendor at the entrance. Unclear if that is a permanent or seasonal. The car park can be too small for a pleasant sunny day when many visitors are more than likely to attend the gardens. You can park on the street and the walk is short. The botanic gardens are a great place to have a day out away...

I rather think our Botanic Gardens are the best. Beautifully arranged & maintained. You are able to loose yourselves in amongst all the beautiful picaresque nooks & crannies. Perfect place for a picnic or to sit a chat with coffee, or to wonder & explore. Ducks to feed, eels & all other forms of wildlife inhabits these gardens. A perfect play area that is safe for kids. Educational areas & groups classes, mobile reading areas where you can grab a book to read. There is a woodlands area, bush food section, a rose garden, bush walk ect... And a glass/hot house to explore. Loads of idea's for cottage gardens, herb garden's & jardin potager, worm farming & quirky garden art & ideas. There is plenty of parking & a mobile cafè. On the back entrance there is a major bus depot with bus that can take you to Wollongong or the train station, the Wollongong University has cafè, shops ect... Great place to learn, hang out or for family day out. The gardens are large enough that you can find private spots & more people areas. Should just mention that they have toliet amenities around the...

This Botanic Garden has good amenities and easy to find a car park. Obviously it has many toilets and a small playing ground for kids. The walking path is very easy to access it either walking or by a wheelchair. The garden has a wide range of flowers, plants, birds, trees, etc…. Some of them are uniques 🤩 Also this garden has several picnic spots and plenty seats. Some people prefer to sit on the beautiful grass there … You can walk and choose which path you want to follow. The majority of them can be walked by kids. I would say 3 - 4 years old. The garden is nice and safe for families and kids. Toilets are clean and accessible by wheelchairs. Everything here is really good. Soon after you walk in, you will find a bookcase to read or to exchange books. That is a nice idea 👏👏 I have been there a few times, I always see families, small kids, artists, and some couples taking pictures mainly for weddings 💐 💍 Overall, I am happy to go there and I recommend visitors and locals to enjoy the Wollongong Botanic Garden...

Photographers, prepare to be mesmerized by the Botanic Gardens! With it's vibrant and diverse plant life, along with photogenic bird sightings, this place offers an abundance of stunning photo opportunities. You can easily lose track of time here, spending hours or even a whole day exploring. Families will especially enjoy their visit, as the friendly ducks eagerly await your kids' offerings of halved grapes, providing entertainment for hours. There are ample seating options and picnic spots scattered throughout the gardens. Don't forget to bring a water bottle, as bubblers might not always be conveniently located on your path. Sun protection is a must, although you'll find plenty of shady spots to cool off. For a quick refreshment, a small coffee truck awaits, offering drinks and snacks. Overall, the Botanic Gardens exude a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, complete with the delightful fragrance of various plants. It's a must-visit destination for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike!
