Located at 1 Cape Road, Wyong, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This is a great place to come to learn about history in the Wyong region. It’s run by volunteers and has to be the best pioneer museum I have been to. We came as part of a group of retirees and everyone really enjoyed our visit. The volunteers are very dedicated and passionate about their work here and it clearly shows. It’s only $5.00 entry and $2.00 for children. So cheap. The whole setting is so beautiful and very relaxing. The exhibits are wonderfully designed. Not too much packed in like some museums of this nature. The guide was very informative and it was obvious how much he loved what he does. Willing to answer any and all questions and so welcoming. We had people with mobility issues and there are parts of the museum eg the grassy area that are not really accessible, but that has to be the only criticism I would have. There’s plenty of seats situated around for sitting and having a rest. We enjoyed our time here and I would definitely recommend. A Big Thumbs Up!!! 👍👍👍

$5 entry fee with a friendly tour guide. If you are anywhere near Wyong it’s worth a visit. A 1870’s historical mansion with ivory key piano, silverware, model canon warships, rotary dial telephone etc plus farming equipments that are testament to the efforts of farmers.

Alison Homestead is an amazing local history museum with many vintage items and their backstory on display. It is a cozy and warm feeling environment split into four sections. The first two are mainly in-home relates items, the third is set in an old classroom and the fourth is a blacksmithing and agriculture area.

The volunteer staff there were extremely helpful and after being set up you're free to explore the museum at your own leisure.

There is a grass area designated for parking and the cost of entry is $5 per person.

You can spend a solid 2hrs here, possibly longer depending on how in depth...

I visited the Homestead with a group of retirement village residents for an outing (I'm their driver) The group leader booked in advance so they had a lovely morning tea of freshly baked scones with jam and freshly whipped cream, tea or coffee waiting for us. The residents loved looking at all the museum pieces which was bringing back memories of their child hoods and of their parents and grandparents. They thoroughly...
