Wyong Milk Factory Café Review: Absolutely Disgusting Experience I cannot even begin to describe how furious I am with my experience at the Wyong Milk Factory Café. It was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. If I could give this place zero stars, I would, because frankly, they don’t deserve even one. Let’s start with the wait—TWO HOURS. Yes, you read that right. We waited two whole hours for our food. And in that time, we received absolutely no apologies, no updates, nothing. The staff acted like it was our fault for daring to ask when our food might arrive, even though we were clearly waiting with a hungry toddler, which they could see! We weren't just brushed off; we were treated with an appalling level of rudeness and incompetence. Honestly, the staff seemed clueless and uncaring the entire time. Finally, when our food did arrive after what felt like a lifetime, it was wrong. Of course, it was wrong. I was already on edge, but when I saw the pathetic excuse for a smoothie I paid $8.50 for, my blood boiled. It wasn’t a smoothie at all. It was water, with a couple of sad-looking raspberries tossed in. Imagine paying nearly $9 for something that tasted like melted ice water with a hint of fruit. I’ve had better drinks out of a garden hose. Absolutely disgusting. The food was no better. I ordered scrambled eggs, which arrived weeping water—completely unappetizing, and the eggs were overcooked to the point of being nearly inedible. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the portion sizes were a joke. Want a tiny teaspoon of spinach? That’ll be $4 extra. A tablespoon of baked beans? Another $4. The price gouging is unreal. They’re charging outrageous amounts for sides that wouldn’t even feed a child. It’s offensive. And after all that waiting, after all that money spent, the meal was just a soggy, overpriced disaster. But what really pushed me over the edge was the attitude of the staff. They were rude, dismissive, and made zero effort to rectify any of their mistakes. They didn’t offer any form of apology for the delays, the incorrect order, or the vile food we were served. They didn’t care one bit about our experience, and frankly, they made it seem like it was our fault for daring to complain or expect any better. We left the Wyong Milk Factory Café feeling angry, disgusted, and absolutely ripped off. It was hands down one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I’ve ever had, and the way we were treated was completely unacceptable. To top it off, we had a hungry toddler to deal with throughout this ordeal. The whole thing was a nightmare, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. Wyong Milk Factory Café, if you’re reading this—do better. Your food is appalling, your service is atrocious, and your prices are a scam. Never again.

What an incredible place this is! An old milk factory repurposed into a eclectic venue that hosts a variety of shows. Good meals well priced, cold beers it’s got everything including a playground for children. You need to check this place out.

We were here about a week ago. I'll start with the positives. The short guy in the cheese shop was great, I give him 5 stars. He was nice and helpful and the bacon cheese was amazing. Sadly. We had breakfast here...the eggs Benedict was awful, no other way to say it. The ham was just some low quality sandwich ham that was hard to eat. The eggs were pretty much raw and tasted of nothing. The bread was just over toasted and gross. The real low point was the hollandaise sauce. It was cold and served in a small bowl...I left most of it on the plate, my girlfriend had a egg and bacon roll which was awful, clearly cooked by someone who doesn't care. The girl who took the order at the bar was not friendly at all and it seemed like a huge inconvenience to take our order, we then also had to go collect our own food from ages away from our table. We ate some of the food but left most of it, we then had to go elsewhere for breakfast. The girl wasn't at the bar anymore, I would have had you guys remake our food but to be honest I wouldn't trust whoever coked our food to boil and egg.

If I could give zero rating, I would. As a tourist, I looked for wheelchair accessible cafe to have lunch. I called ahead to confirm the venue was wheelchair accessible and was assured it was. It isn't.

If you need a level disability parking space for your car wheelchair plate, this isn't the place for you. The slope engages the safety mechanism for uneven ground. The available disability car spaces don't allow for passenger exits as the spaces abut a wooden ramp and are standard size spaces, so unsafe to alight a vehicle if driving. Impossible to alight as a wheelchair using passenger. In the so called 'wheelchair friendly' eating area, the chairs are left tilted towards the tables with chair legs sticking out so anyone in a wheelchair needs an able bodied person to clear the way. To order food, the ramp is ok but then you have to navigate entry to a narrow balcony with a pot plant and tables and chairs blocking adequate access to get to the counter to order food. Except, there's also a step which you have to wheelie tip your chair over to get to into the space where you order food. So that's unsafe too. When questioned how anyone in a wheelchair without a carer with them could order food, staff responded they'd take an order and bring food down. No offer to do so despite me raising the multiple barriers for wheelchair users to access their venue. I'm not confident staff would even know there was a wheelchair using customer as they stay upstairs. Unless you called them to order. Other able bodied patrons collected trays of food to bring downstairs where the 'disabled access' eating area is. food is collected from the inaccessible counter and you bring your own tray down.

This is an ableist establishment. Clearly, no thought or consultation with wheelchair users before advertising wheelchair access. We left and went elsewhere. Zero stars. Avoid if you have mobility...

My wife and I visited Wyong Milk Factory during the break between Christmas and new year and we won’t be returning unfortunately.

We ordered a soy flat white and a soy chai latte. Both drinks were good.

To eat, I had a bacon and egg roll and my wife ordered the summer berry waffles. At the time of ordering there was one other table eating food, so it was basically empty. We were handed one of those buzzy square things that lets you know when you need to go and collect your food, despite it appearing to be table service. Our food was ready pretty fast, and we quickly noticed this was because it wasn’t all fresh. My wife’s waffles were pre packaged from a box (we know this because we saw the waffle box with company logo on the side) so they just needed to be heated in a microwave, and the summer berries were pre packaged frozen berries, despite it being in peak season for berries. None of it was fresh, and you could taste it. My egg was very overcooked, but apart from that it was fine. That being said, a bacon and egg roll is 50% egg, so that brings the mark down considerably if the egg is well overdone.

The overall appearance of the cafe is dated and just isn’t even close to the standard you would get from cafes in surrounding towns in Newcastle or on the north central coast. The staff were friendly which was nice.

The fact we paid $20 for pre-packaged not fresh waffles from a box and frozen berries is astonishing, and an overall price of $41 for what was an average / below average meal isn’t great at all.

The place needs an overhaul. There are shops around it (daily dough co for donuts etc) that the Wyong milk factory seems to be relying upon to bring in crowds, therefore lacking the urgency to upgrade their own cafe, which is a real shame.

We won’t...
