Zámek Freistadt byl postaven spolu se svým bergfriedem v letech 1363 až 1398 a sloužil k posílení opevnění města. Dnes v zámku sídlí finanční úřad a zámecké muzeum Mühlviertel. Zámek leží hned vedle náměstí a podle mě by zasloužil větší péči. Určitě neuděláte chybu, když si prohlédnete náměstí a hlavně hradní příkop, který je upraven jako park s řadou...
