Charming historic castle in beautiful surroundings

This fascinating hotel is a former monastery next to the church at the top of the small charming town of Gumpoldskirchen and next to some amazing vineyards (see my attached photos).

Our room (no 102) was very spacious and had a balcony with nice view to the vineyards. The room was simple but functional and we had everything we needed. The room was spotless clean!

Breakfast was nice and you can order fried eggs, scrambled eggs e.g.

In summary, Schloss Gumpoldskirchen is a very well run hotel offering simple but nice rooms and a high standard of personal service. We loved every moment of our stay and would highly recommend this place.

We were looking for a place to stay outside of Vienna for our first night and arrived at this beautiful castle. There’s no check-in desk in the evening, but we called them and they came to open for us. The room was very pleasant, decorated in an old-fashioned style. The bathroom was small but clean. We got a fairly large room with a double bed, a pull-out bed for a child, and an additional small room with a single bed. We had a tasty breakfast that was included...
