Ok. So the fort itself was decent and had many placards in both German and English explaining the history of the fort and the area. However, i'm writing this review to tell you the easy way to get here. We took the gravel forrest road (you'll want a car with high clearance but a 4x4 was not necessary) and parked just a 1/4 mile from Fort Claudia at the end of the swinging bridge. (There's a small pull off there). This was great for my parents because there was no way they were going to make the hike up to the bridge from the valley below. Plus, at that parking area you get a great view of the bridge and especially the old Ehrenburg Castle! If you want to enter the swinging bridge from that side there is a ticket machine there as well.
