I do not often write negative reviews but this gym could be one of the best if they cared a bit more about their customers and they would focus on the overall experience and not just on their strenghts.
It is a very nice and exceptionally equipped gym which can be recommended to athletes. However, there are minor issues that should be taken into consideration. Wardrobes: they are pretty narrow and quality and usability are below average. I think it would not cost much to get better wardrobes with more space so bigger bags can be stored there. Using your own locker or paying extra 20-30 euros in addition to the premium price to have an own wardrobe where you can store your stuffs is not very attractive. I think this might be included in the premium price for members. 2.Toilet: 2 toilets and 2 pissoirs for men in the whole gym They are not centrally located and you need to walk a lot.. 2 toilets are not enough for 4000m^2. Heat in the gym during summer period is insanely bad. That was the main reason why I have cancelled my membership. I have initially contacted das Gym to talk about this problem. It is a no go that the hall is warmer then the temperature outside. It is a no go that they constantly open the windows so it will not be colder, but mosquitoes are coming inside. It is not okay that the answer is there are scientific evidences that air conditioning is bad and more injuries occur in colder environments. No, it is not white and black in science, there is no more proof for that than against it. They told me I should drink more watee and isotonic beverages. It is constantly 30+ degrees in the hall during summer season!! No one can perform well under such circumstances. Gyms below 50 euros/month offer air circulacion so it is not okay that they use some very basic fans in such a huge gym. So around 3 months long it is very warm - sometimes dangerously warm in the gym- which can lead to performance problems and even health problems. As there are insane amount of racks, a solution could be separating a room with airconditioning whereas in the other hall you could keep the current heat as I can understand not everyone is a fan of airconditioning. Professional gyms are using automated temperature control for providing good air circulation. Overall lack of services Yeah, there are some good services like customizable meal options, very good premium equipments and some services thar I would not use as a powerlifter but great for bodybuilders like posing room etc. But they are charging 140 euros per month. No sauna, no pool, not even good wardrobes, shower is under average without private sphere, they have even asked us to take shower no longer than 5 minutes. It would be a good idea to bring better wardrobes or having an own wardrobe without extra charges as it is something that other gym does not offer. But I would like to emphasise that other gyms perform better in the basics - cleaning, showers, wardrobes, sauna, air circulation, facilities etc for one third of the monthly fee... I am not expecting to use a pool but I would expect to get services above average in every aspect for this price.
I hope these issues will be taken into consideration in the future.

Read moreAbsolutely huge space with lots of machines. Although it’s a classical gym type of environement, you can see they try to make efforts to create more spaces that are more “modern”.
As a member, you also get access to striking and grappling classes—which are great, though not very frequent.
The food court is another highlight: a bit pricey, but the quality makes it worth it, and such a nice have for a gym!
And it doesn’t stop there—they also have a separate social/study/games part of the gym which is absolutely amazing—a very cozy corner!
Now why the 3 stars? It comes from personal experience that might not apply to everyone. Before signing up, I was told that short membership pauses would be possible, which was a big factor in my decision. But in practice, pauses are only allowed for medical reasons or work-related travel with official proof.
Just a small note: the replies I was receiving felt like were just ChatGPTed which felt a bit impersonal. To be fair, we were communicating in English, so things might be different on the German side. Either way, I appreciated...

One could talk about the machines at this gym. One could talk about the hundreds of pictures on the walls at this gym. One could talk about the 50 Eleiko competition bars at this gym. One could talk about the home-cooked food at the bar at this gym. One could talk about the weightlifting area at this gym. One could talk about all the Strongman equipment at this gym.
One could talk about many things when it comes to DAS GYM. But what one should talk about is the atmosphere and the people.
I've been to gyms in Athens, Birmingham, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Manchester, Las Vegas and many other cities. This gym offers you an unmatched atmosphere that oozes progress and passion. Combine that with professionals no matter where you look, athletes and coaches, and you'll quickly realize that nothing compares.
DAS GYM doesn't want to be the new mecca. It demands it. This is the best gym in the world, because it was built to be just that.
Welcome to Vienna. Welcome to the jungle....
