Laudon Palace — Attraction in Vienna

Due to lucky circumstances I've been living on the castle property for over 16 years and had the chance growing up there. I know almost every inch of the castle grounds.

It's been used for government seminars for the least 30+ years and get's rented for occasional events like concerts, weddings and big birthdays. And it's use get's visable.

Cultural property like painted walls get damaged due to people scraping against it without intent and tables and stools beeing moved around for seminars. Unfortunatley some beavers have fallen in love with the castles trees and have partly erradicated them, making some places look like a patchwort quilt (see island).

At least in my opinion the cultural property isn't beeing taken care of as it should and the castle withers away hidden from the public eye due to it beeing not accessible to the public.

There are so many interesting things to find within the castle walls and I wish it would become some sort of museum sometime...

Deutsch: Das Schloss LAUDON ist eine großartige Location für Feiern und Hochzeiten – zumindest war es das vor ein paar Jahren noch. Wunderschön renoviert, mit einem schönen Außenbereich für Trauungen, einer eleganten Lobby und einem noch schöneren Speisesaal mit Flügel. Das Schloss verfügt über eine große Küche für Catering, einen Lift und gepflegte Sanitäranlagen. Der Innenhof eignet sich perfekt für eine Agape.

Wie bereits erwähnt, bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob es derzeit noch vermietet wird, aber ein Anruf lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Englisch: Schloss LAUDON is an outstanding venue for celebrations and weddings – at least it was a few years ago. Beautifully renovated, with a lovely outdoor area for ceremonies, an elegant lobby, and an even more beautiful dining hall with a grand piano. The castle also has a large kitchen for catering, an elevator, and well-maintained restrooms. The courtyard is perfect for a reception.

As mentioned, I’m not sure if it’s still available for rent, but it’s definitely worth a call.

Italienisch: Il Castello LAUDON è una location straordinaria per feste e matrimoni – almeno lo era qualche anno fa. Meravigliosamente ristrutturato, con un bel giardino esterno per le cerimonie, una elegante hall e una sala da pranzo ancora più bella con un pianoforte. Il castello dispone anche di una grande cucina per il catering, un ascensore e servizi igienici curati. Il cortile interno è perfetto per un ricevimento.

Come detto, non sono sicuro se sia ancora disponibile per affitto, ma vale sicuramente la pena fare...

there is no indication at the entrance that this place is not open . i walked onto the grounds and was approached by some goose stepping little upstart with a moustache barking privat grunde who was extremely abusive and rude , maybe someone should teach him some manners and how to conduct...
