The Lobau is a Vienna floodplain on the northern side of the Danube in Donaustadt and partly in Großenzersdorf, Lower Austria. It has been part of the Danube-Auen National Park since 1996 and has been a protected area since 1978. It is used as a recreational area and is known as a site of nudism.

A gem of a place! We recently discovered this new hiking area via a friend's recommendation.
A great area for new hikers or advanced, a relatively flat (mainly unpaved) walking trail through the beautiful Löbau National Park! While we were there we saw a mix of young and old, strollers, walking sticks, etc.
It will seem like you're a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A great way to get out into nature.
A beautiful lake not too far from the car park is a great place to see swans, splash in the water, sit in the sunshine or just enjoy nature. In the winter months, when we went, it was fun to throw small stones onto the iced over lake and hear the echoing sounds!
A side note, there is a section of this lake in summer which tends to be dedicated (officially or unofficially I'm unsure which!) to nude sunbathing and swimming, so if that's not your thing be on the lookout. It is clearly market on Google Maps which area IS in fact dedicated, but who knows what is correct or not.
Regardless, this is a hidden gem not far from the city center! Highly recommend checking it out any...

This is a great place to go during the week when there is no people, you can’t take off your shoes really safe and when you have a dog that is in need of some free time and quiet time like mine it’s like a dream come true. Incredible beautiful. There is a facility at the entrance where you can stop for the restroom. On addition, there are classes on nature for children and playground in the garden. It is clear that the facility is run by people who love their job. The forest is beutiful with a lake where you can swim and it was quite calm on sunday morning.
