Manages to fit a lot in. Great building and location. The staff are very helpful. Have visited a few times now and each time there has been a different special exhibit alongside the local history. Das Museum der Stadt Villach war einfach toll - insbesondere die Sonderausstellung zum "Friedenslabor". Mit der Kärnten Card kommt man umsonst hinein und es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Allein die Räumlichkeiten und der schöne Innenhof mit Aufgang zur Stadtmauer ist einen Besuch wert. Es werden verschiedene Ausstellungen zum Besuch angeboten, u.a. auch zum Beispiel auch, wie verschiedene Künstler*innenfamilien und die Frauen darin ihre Wege als Künstlerinnen gehen konnten. Auch lassen sich viele Dinge interaktiv und spielerisch erfahren, was nicht nur für Kinder motivierend ist.😉 Vor allem aber lohnt sich das "Friedenslabor", der aktuellen Sonderausstellung, bei dem man unter vielen verschiedenen Aspekten erfährt, wie Frieden aussehen, hergestellt und erhalten werden kann - im Kleinen wie im Großen.
