I was up and out early this morning and, in exploring the town at dawn, I saw the elegant old St. Jakob's Cathedral, right in the City-Center. It was so early that I didn't think it would be open, so when I tried the door and it opened, it was a lovely surprise to hear the fabulous old organ being played in the pre-dawn stillness. The organist was practicing and I came in and stood and let that rich music just flow over me and soak in. It seemed almost holy to hear this. I could not stay long and didn't even think about climbing the bell tower, but it didn't matter. I had already been blessed and it was time to hurry back to the hotel for breakfast.
