First and foremost, the natural beauty of CocoCay is absolutely breathtaking. The crystal-clear turquoise waters, powdery white sand beaches, and lush tropical landscapes create a picturesque setting that feels like stepping into a postcard. From the moment I set foot on the island, I was captivated by its sheer beauty and tranquility. CocoCay provides a serene escape from the everyday hustle and bustle, allowing visitors to unwind and soak in the idyllic surroundings.
One of the highlights of my day at CocoCay was the extensive range of activities and experiences available. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, there is something for everyone. I started my day by lounging on a comfortable beach chair, sipping a refreshing drink, and basking in the warm Caribbean sun. The pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters were perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or simply floating in the calm waves.
For those seeking a bit more excitement, CocoCay offers a myriad of thrilling activities. From ziplining across the island's lush foliage to soaring on a water slide that drops you right into the ocean, the adrenaline rush is guaranteed. The Thrill Waterpark boasts an incredible array of slides and attractions that will leave adventure seekers wanting more. The dining options at CocoCay are equally impressive. From beachside grills serving up delectable barbecue fare to tantalizing global cuisine at the buffet, there is no shortage of culinary delights to satisfy any craving. The food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful, ensuring that guests have a truly satisfying dining experience. The attentive and friendly staff made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.
Another aspect that impressed me about CocoCay was the attention to detail and the quality of the facilities. The island is meticulously maintained, and the amenities are top-notch. Clean restrooms, well-maintained loungers, and convenient beachside bars create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for guests. The overall organization and efficiency of the island's operations ensure that everything runs smoothly, allowing visitors to make the most of their time in paradise.

Read moreI was very disappointed with my recent experience in CocoCay. I would have given 0 if allowed to. My wife and daughter booked an excursion for snorkeling only to be told when they got on site with my daughter all geared up that the excursion was cancelled due to windy conditions. This is unacceptable in that Royal Caribbean should have informed us earlier. I am certain that weather forecasts would predict these conditions ahead of time so they should have informed us the night before in our stateroom.
Instead, my wife was told to come back and check every 2 hours only to be disappointed two more times again at 12:00pm and at 2:00pm before she had to go back onboard. (The all-onboard time was 4:30pm so there was no point in staying for another 2 hours after 2:00pm.) When we went to the shore excursion desk, we simply got a refund. I really expect some monetary compensation for the time they wasted checking the site back and forth similar to the compensation given to all patrons when Port Canaveral was cancelled. The lady at the desk said no compensation will be given. We then went to guest services and complained about this. We ended up getting a bottle of champagne which isn’t of much use as we don’t drink.
It seems like you have to complain to get something from them. Imagine if you don't ask or forget to ask them for refund, they will probably rip you off and charge you for the excursion (never mind about the champagne).
On a constructive front, I think Royal Caribbean should proactively act based on weather forecasts and inform guests that the excursions will be cancelled if weather forecasts predict unsuitable conditions for excursions the next day. Instead, they adopt a wait-and-see approach, with the hope that the weather will miraculously turn better so they can host excursions to benefit their pocket books with possible endangerment to their patrons in the event that the weather ends up turning bad as predicted. Even if they decide not to cancel the excursion the night before, they should have let us know through signs at the gangway or at the walkway from the ship to the island. In addition, the staff who said the excursion was cancelled should have suggested alternate excursions or other activities on the island.

Read moreThey named this island perfect day and they weren't lying. Me and my wife got to go here on the last day of out cruise for our honeymoon and I couldn't imagine a better way to cap off the trip. Perfect white sand. Amazing slides. Tasty food, the friendliest staff. We paid the extra ahead of the cruise for access to thrill water park. If your on the fence jump off it and just buy it. It's worth every penny. Highlights are slingshot, devil's peak, dueling demons and the wave pool. Their all close to each other. There's oodles of loungers around. Snack shacks (burgers / brownies / fries) bars where you can use your drinks package. I believe all the food locations are free with the exception of captain Jack's. I wouldn't buy a cabana their not as exclusive as you think their right next to the loungers and share the same water. Theres so many life guards and their super on point if anyone is doing something they shouldn't their right on em. The loungers at the end of devils peak are in the perfect spot. Their between both slide towers, right next to the wave pool, have a bar within a 30 second walk and a snack shack within 1min walk. There's a couple chickens clucking around the island. We also saw and iguana. The island is impeccably clean. You can see the staff quarters from the top of sling shot tower. That side of the island looks a little rough round the edges but you don't go there. Oh there's sea gulls too, and they like the cabanas, we saw plenty of gulls sitting on top of them another reason to save money. If your cruise doesn't go to coco cay your missing out hugely. Royal carribean you should be proud of your staff here (the island staff and the staff dr symphony of the seas) we had an...
