Pelican Plunge — Attraction in South Abaco

Great water slides! One is an open tube and the other is a closed tube. There’s a little bit of a drop into the water off the slide which is about 5-6 feet deep. There is a lifeguard on duty monitoring the top of the slide and the landing. As a strong swimmer myself (and an adult) not going to lie the cold shock of the water caught me off guard the first time. Not sure how a little one would handle it. The walk to the platform does gradually get deeper to get them acclimated to the water temperature and the depth. The depths at the ladder is somewhat more shallow than that at the foot of the slide. The actual slide area is separated from any swimming areas so no worry about swimmers not...

The family had a great time ... Down side it's TWO slides for a Boat load of kids .. it's just too small .. Disney does a good job / great job with family fun this one just needs more .. also saw a little girl come of the slide and she was not a good swimmer, she panic, was in trouble .. The lifeguard team and guards did a great job, They were Swift shut down the slide and we're on it before any problems could really develop... blink of a eye had under control.. it's just too small for volume of kids .. long lines .. for...

Beautiful area. It was very cool to see the water colours change from the open ocean past the barrier to inside the lagoon. Lot's of fun and great adventures to have on Disney's private island Castaway Cay!
