Castaway Family Beach — Attraction in South Abaco

It was so amazing! I'm so glad we needed to cancel our first booking with just 1 day stop at Castaway Cay. When I rebooked, we instead got the 2-day stop at the island. And even with 2 days, you wouldn't get enough! We love it so much! We didn't get to bike around the island but we did so many activities, my daughter was already giving up on the fun! She was so tired! Happy tired for sure.

We did the stingray adventure, kayak, aqua trike, snorkel, tubes rental. It was our first disney cruise so forgive us for doing so much! Lol! Some families have been on the disney cruise multiple times that they just enjoy the island itself and not book any more activities. Because the island is just amazing! The temperature when we went was in the high 70s (77-79), clear skies and it was just perfect.

If you find something you like from the island store (with Castaway design etc), buy it as most likely, you won't find it at the stores back...

It was so beautiful and peaceful. I personally don't think the bike ride "around the island" was worth it. There is a part of the island on your way to the adult beach and a private beach, that I think that's where they dispose of the garbage and it stinks so bad. There are a ton of lizards running around which I thought were great. The food was ok, just regular hamburger and hot dogs I was expecting to have more of options. We visited this beach as part of our Disney Cruise experience. Similar to the quality of the cruise, this island was amazing! Excellent amenities and lunch buffet. My only concern was how Jagged the small rocks are as you enter the water. I strongly suggest water shoes or some type of sandals when entering the shallow lagoon area. Overall, a very fun way to...
