করমজল চিড়িয়াখানা: একটি অসাধারণ পারিবারিক ভ্রমণের অভিজ্ঞতা

সম্প্রতি আমি পরিবারসহ ঘুরতে গিয়েছিলাম খুলনার করমজল চিড়িয়াখানায়, এবং বলতে দ্বিধা নেই – এটি ছিল এক অভূতপূর্ব অভিজ্ঞতা। প্রকৃতির কোলে গড়ে ওঠা এই চিড়িয়াখানাটি শুধুমাত্র একটি দর্শনীয় স্থান নয়, বরং একটি শিক্ষা ও অনুপ্রেরণার উৎসও বটে। বিশাল এলাকা জুড়ে বিস্তৃত এই জায়গাটিতে প্রবেশ করেই চোখে পড়ে প্রকৃতির স্নিগ্ধ রূপ এবং প্রাণিকুলের অভাবনীয় বৈচিত্র্য।

চিড়িয়াখানার মধ্যে রয়েছে হরিণ, কুমির, বানরসহ অনেক ধরনের বন্য প্রাণী। বিশেষ করে হরিণের দলগুলো মুক্তভাবে চলাফেরা করতে দেখে সত্যিই মন আনন্দে ভরে ওঠে। কুমির গুলো আলাদা ঘেরের মধ্যে রাখা, আর সেগুলোর বিশালতা ও নড়াচড়া দেখতে বেশ রোমাঞ্চকর। বানরগুলো ছিল বেশ চঞ্চল ও মজার।

সবচেয়ে দারুণ অংশ ছিল ওয়াচ টাওয়ারে ওঠা। উপরে উঠলে পুরো এলাকা এক নজরে দেখা যায় – চারপাশে সবুজ গাছপালা, নদীর ধারা, আর দূরে বিস্তৃত সুন্দরবনের আভাস। প্রকৃতিপ্রেমী যে কেউ এই দৃশ্য দেখে মুগ্ধ হবেন।

পরিবারসহ ঘোরার জন্য এটি একটি আদর্শ জায়গা। শিশুরা যেমন প্রাণীদের দেখে আনন্দ পায়, তেমনি বড়দের জন্যও রয়েছে প্রকৃতির নিস্তব্ধতা উপভোগ করার এক দারুণ সুযোগ। করমজল শুধু একটি চিড়িয়াখানাই নয়, এটি প্রকৃতি ও প্রাণিকুলের সঙ্গে একান্তে সময় কাটানোর এক চমৎকার স্থান।

আমি ব্যক্তিগতভাবে সবাইকে পরামর্শ দেব, সময় সুযোগ পেলে একবার হলেও করমজল ঘুরে আসার। এটি নিঃসন্দেহে মনে রাখার মতো একটি জায়গা।

Karamjal Wildlife Center: A Wonderful Family Travel Experience

Recently, I visited the Karamjal Wildlife Center in Khulna with my family, and I must say – it was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the lap of nature, this place is not just a tourist attraction but also a source of learning and inspiration. Spread over a vast area, the zoo welcomes visitors with serene natural beauty and a diverse range of wildlife.

Inside the zoo, you’ll find deer, crocodiles, monkeys, and several other animals. Watching the graceful deer move freely was a delightful sight. The crocodiles, kept in secure enclosures, were huge and fascinating to observe. The monkeys, as always, were lively and entertaining.

One of the highlights of the trip was climbing the watchtower. From the top, the panoramic view is simply breathtaking – lush greenery, flowing rivers, and even a distant glimpse of the Sundarbans. Nature lovers will truly appreciate the peacefulness and charm of this view.

This place is ideal for a family day out. Children love watching the animals, while adults can enjoy the calm and fresh atmosphere. Karamjal is not just a zoo; it’s a perfect escape to connect with nature and wildlife.

A good eco-tourism center in Khulna. The approach is mainly through the waterway. The place has deer, crocodiles and birds in captivity, for the visitors to be able to watch those from up close. The place also has a Crocodile Tower, from which one can, if fortunate, get to see a crocodile or two in the tributary close by. This place also has an information and interpretation center and a souvenir shop. There is also a separate display enclosed in glass and, near the boat pier, which has a huge map model of the Sunderbans, preserved tiger and deer footprints, tiger claws, crocodile eggs etc.

Personally, I feel the place ought to (1) Have better walkways (2) Be more cleanly maintained, and (3) Have a proper cafe or cafeteria, where visitors could spend a relaxing time.
